Chapter 8

An: Language warning! This chapter curses a few times...so..uh..yeah deal.

We get to Topangas diner, Riley looks really nervous as me on the other hand have the most stern angry face I feel I could possibly have.
•
He hurt my bestfriend. He hurt my Girlfriend.
•
I walk through the doors as Riley trails behind me like a innocent puppy. I had to protect her. I couldn't stand for this. My eyes graze the room. No sign of Lucas.

"Riley, he's not here yet." I say firmly. I soon drag her to the couch. My mother is behind the counter working her shift as usuall. "Hey hun, stopping by before school?" She asks sweetly, trying not to sound stressed. But I can hear it in her voice. My expression turns to a fake but believeable smile.

"Yeah, we're just waiting for lucas." I say nonchalantly
"Are you two still trying to figure that whole triangle thing?" She asks, attempting to be 'in the loop' as she calls it. I laugh emotionless. " You could say that...it's taken a turn." I look at Riley and her eyes Make me smile full heartedly.

My mom looks at me confused but then playfully rolls her eyes and continues to wash the counter. As my mom walks into the back room I look back at riley.
•
She looks scared. "Riley, it will be okay..I'm here." I reassure her as I lean in,lifting her chin up and kissing her with a slight passion. It continues, as I start to get carried away, as I had been waiting to do this with her for so long. I smile, continuing to kiss her as I hear a slight giggle from her as I lift her up of the couch and she hops up, wrapping her legs around my hips as I spin her around, our lips still intact.

I hear her gasp and I open my eyes to hers, wide open as she quickly pulled away. I quickly look to where she was looking out of protectivness and there there, standing in awe and glaring at us was Lucas. Him biting his lip out of anger.

"Is this why you brought me here, Riley?!" I hear his breathing begin to pick up. I've never seen this in Lucas before... "Just to flaunt your stupid dyke girlfriend?!" Riley starts to shut down slightly. Anger fills me like a glass.

Lucas starts angrily walking over with his fists clenched. He looks Riley dead in the eye and heads for her.

My Arenaline really kicks in and I run in front of him, furious.
"FUCK OFF HOMOPHOBE!" I scream as my lip quivers out of anger. He quickly looks down at me as his expression grows madder.

Before he could do anything, I grab his wrist and take him outside, Riley hesitantly following. As we reach the sidewalk I can really yell, saying as the busy new York street traffic is making noise and the people in the Caffè wouldn't hear our intense argument and if it got violent in anyway, nobody would have to see someone get hurt. That someone wasn't going to be riley, I'm making sure of that. If he hurts me I don't care but I won't let him hurt her.

"What's your fucking problem?!" I ask, annoyed and attempting to stay calm. He looks at me straight, trying to scare me
"Your stare isn't gonna scare me huckleberry, if you have a problem, just say it!"
He half rolls his eyes and looks back down at me.
"You wanna know my problem Maya?!" He yells, arms in front of him making slight strangling gestures and a chuckle in his voice.

I cross my arms and raise an eyebrow, then nod my head, refraining from speech.
"Well it's you Maya!"

I can't say I wasn't expecting that answer, because I was. I've gotten in between Riley and Lucas. Of course he hates me, but I never thought he would ever lash out like this.
"Look. I've been in love with Riley longer than you've lived her ranger rick. If known her since I was 5 and ever since I crawled through her damn window I've seen more Beauty in her than any guy would. Especially you!"
Once I said that I regretted it. I know Riley still liked Lucas as a friend and I might have just hurt both of their feelings and probably just made Lucas really mad. I look back up to meet his eyes. Yep. Definatly made him furious.

"The only reason Riley is with you is because she has pity for you! She doesn't really like you maya." He chuckles. There's something inside of him now that I've never seen.
"Wow your pathetic! You really think she has feelings for you?! You really are just a dumb fucking Faggot Maya. Who could ever love you?! I know for a fact she doesn't okay?! She loves ME.!" His yells kept getting louder and louder until they were screams and white noise. I just heard all the bad things my head was repeating and every other sound of Rileys screaming for him to stop was just faded and the only thing focused was Lucas.

"Your nothing Maya. So why don't you do us all a favor and kill yourself," He filled with rage and my vision started to blur with shock.

"Nobody will love you! Your a fucking dyke who's poor daddy left her because he didn't love her anymore and now look at you. You have nothing to live for Maya. Just fucking die and make my life easier!"
The noises were getting louder around me and my vision became blurrier.

Then I hear this clear as day..
"Or I'll do it for you."

I huge force pushes me backwards into the street as my body falls I hear one last scream.
Riley.

"MAYAAAA"
