Saving Maya ~ Rilaya [DISCONTINUED]

Chapter 6

My hands shivered and shook the next day, the thought of seeing Riley, making my bones feel like rubber, weak and flimsy.  My eyes stung from staying up the previous night...thinking about what her actions were going to be like today.

I was extremely scared. What if she realized how stupid I am, what if she doesn't actually like me and just said that to spare my feelings?
•
But I shouldn't be one to worry, so I held my head up high, Not letting anyone know of my true feelings. I tended to be like that, nobody was interested anyways. Who would even care? Plus other people in this world have issues bigger than mine in this world, so why should I burden people with mine? It's just another issue for people to think and stress about. And stress is something I don't need, neither Riley, but here we are.

Welp, you've fucked it up maya.

I thought to myself, as I chose not to go to Rileys for breakfast this morning...my mind and brain was too scattered and I couldn't think straight. Probably because I'm gay. (SORRY I HAD TO DO A PUN)

My mother wasn't home like usuall, she left me a note and a 20 dollar bill to buy breakfast at the nearby bakery like she always does. I usually just go to rileys. but not really feeling like eating today, I didn't really need to, I was so focused on other things, I had enough energy to last a lifetime.
•
I opened my apartment door slowly, groaning and dreading the day to come, when I quickly backed away, seeing the person I was so nervous, scared and any other emotion imaginable. Yeah, that girl, was standing at my front door, anxiously and hesitantly about to knock on my door.
•
Riley.
•
"R-riley?!" My voice was shaking and scared, I could tell that my face was a blushing of red. By the look on her face she was nervous and scared to...but why would she be nervous?!
•
I start to rant frantically. "Riley what are you doing here?! I mean- I'm sorry I wasn't at your house I uh- I was just about to leave for school and I got really nervous- well not nervous right? Nobody needs to deal with Mayas problems!- wait, - I WAS stupid, of course you don't like me, obviously you like Luc-"

I was quickly interrupted by a burst of silence caused by Riley in front of me.

A kiss?
•
Her lips harshly pushed against mine, shutting me up and she continued for almost a minute and I enjoyed it for a second but snapped back to reality and pulled away abruptly.
•
"RILEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" She pulled back confused. She cocked her head slightly like a lost puppy, god, she's adorable I flustered in my mind, replaying our slight make out in my head again but quickly snapping out of it, knowing she just did It for my sake, and to shut me up.

"I thought you liked me, Maya."  She looked at me with her big Brown eyes, nearly making me melt.
"I do!" I quickly stated. I sighed and continued. "It's just, I know you dont. I know you like lu-"

I was interrupted by yet another kiss. I was so confused so I backed away slightly, eyes widened. "Everytime you mention his name, I'll kiss you. To prove to you that I don't have feelings for him." My expression soon dropped to shock.

"What?!" I looked to the ground, blushing and not wanting to look my crush directly in the eye. She playfully rolled her eyes and lifted my head upward, meeting her eyes.
•
"I gave you a week Riley, I know your gonna change your mind. It hasn't hit you yet." I sighed softly, tearing up. She looked at me with an expression like I was stupid and raised her eyebrows.
"I don't need a whole week to figure out how much I love you, Maya."
•
My eyes widen as I'm about to intervene, but Riley inturrupts.
"I easily already know that. I always have loved you. But now that it's romantic, honestly, it makes it 100% better." She smiles and gives me a little flirtatious smirk as she adds, "Plus, now I can do more things I haven't been able to do to you before."

I look up blushing extremely hard. I realize she's serious. And I play along with the flirtatious banter.
•
"You kinky bitch." I tease she grins and I wink at her and slip past her and walk with slight sass. I look behind me and she smiles brightly, and follows after me and once she catches up, she wraps her arm around my shoulder and pecks my cheek several times along the walk.
•
I sure wasn't expecting the day to be like this....although I still wasn't believing what happened. But all I knew was that I finally felt close to Riley again.

I'm sorry I haven't been active lately, just recently returned from break and I will have lots more time to write now! I'm going back to my regular writing schedual.  1 chapter a day :)
