Chapter 43 – Hornets Nest (Sawyer POV) Pt. 5

I've had visions before

I've had visions before. This wasn't the first time I thought angrily. It was all lies.

"We cannot go back yet," Gabriel said while I sat lost in thoughts. "We aren't ready. I mean how do we even know that Sawyer was seeing something that is happening right now?"

The conversation continues around me. No matter how hard I tried to be good I'd never be that. That was troublesome for its own set of reasons but the glimpse into Faith's mind was informative.

"The right and wrong people believe I'm dead, and as of yet we still cannot find her," Chelsea murmured.

Everyone – Kalani and dad included after handling the situation with Tessa's father – sat speaking with one another. "I actually think that there is something about the Brevard area... Or can we look for Dmitri? I mean his name like Faith with different last names is written."

"Even if Emerson saw that Faith was dying, we've seen that it's not like they actually die."

The voices argue, each person speaking over the other. Gabriel wanting to stay on the island until they were stronger. While Chelsea was toeing the line of going back only because she needed Faith for the absorption, though I could hear the apprehension of leaving the island prematurely.

They didn't understand that it didn't matter what we did. No one had the truth.

"Grant just had Rinny, she's advance in comparison to an actual newborn her age, but still not at a place where we can go against the Elders," Gabriel said.

What was the damn point? I thought.

We're just pawns. It's all a lie anyways. Faith, on the other hand, she had answers. Where she was, I'm betting she knew more than just what I had seen flashes of.

She knew Wyatt personally.

"Okay Sawyer what aren't you telling us!" Chelsea demands, coming to sit right in front of me. All conversations coming to an abrupt end though I focus on saying the alphabet in my head to keep Chelsea from the truth. That's a waste too.

"Why are you – what else did you see?"

Etta, Kaden, Gabriel, Kalani and Grayson turn to face me as well, each looking between Chelsea and I.

Pushing the unsettling emotion that is getting harder to ignore aside, I swallow looking away from Chelsea.

"Mom, your mom came here and she made sure to have you. And dad you said that John told you information about Zedwood? About how only Fae's can be there?" My thoughts were jumping; it was no surprise that Chelsea was having a hard time keeping up as they were changing quickly.
