"Wh-what?" I ask, standing up.

"Kiss me," she repeats, only this time she is much closer to me. I can feel her spearmint breath playing across my lips.

"I-I can't," I say, taking a step back.

"Why not?" she takes another step forward.

"Just stop," I growl. She seems taken back by this.

"I don't bite, Tyler," she says.

"Just stop, Allie," I say, turning around.

I take a few steps, but I can hear Allie following me.

"What's all this interest in me all of a sudden? I haven't seen you in two years, yet now you're all dead set on kissing me?" I ask, turning around.

"It isn't a sudden though, you know," she says quietly.

I stand there dumbfounded.

"What?" I ask, looking into her crystal gaze. "My Mom says that no one's been looking for me back near her."

"And? I kept it a secret. I just can't go over to your mom saying, 'Hey, I like your son!' Can I?"

"Whenever I went back to visit you never said a word to me."

"I was scared."

"You don't see so scared now."

"Well now is the first time you don't have a pack of boys following you."

I take a deep breath.

"I'll see you around, Allie."

And with that, I turn and jog off.

"Where have you-"

"Don't wanna talk about it, Seth," I growl, sitting down on the couch in our living room.

"Uh, guys," Jake says, walking into the room, Ian on his heels. We turn to look at them.

"Come outside," Ian tells us urgently. I quickly get up and run out the door, to see seven wolves coming our ways- Someone dragged the Rocky Hills pack in.

I run closer to them, my body stretching and my clothes ripping, and with a growl, I'm in front of them, my huge canine teeth bared.

"It's not us you should be threatening," James hisses. He looks at the four of us.

"What do you mean?" Seth asks, raising his hind legs so he's in more of fighting stance.

"You're missing one, aren't you?" Ian points out. The rest of their pack looks around at each other, searching for an answer.

"She's no longer with us," Joey says.

"You broke her heart, didn't you?" I snarl at him.

James looks from me to Joey, and back to me. He blinks at me a couple of times.

"You-" he starts, but I cut him off.

"Yeah," I reply briefly.

"That's why-"

"Yeah."

"And no, he didn't do anything to her," Matt, the Beta of their pack says. "She just dissappeared. We went in her room to see what she was doing and she was gone."

I scrape my large paw on the dirt.

"How long has she been gone?" Jake asks, advancing forward.

"We don't know. We checked on her a couple of minutes ago, and when we noticed she was gone, we came straight here," a different wolf says. His large gray eyes blink at me.

"And why did you come to us?" Seth questions.

Ian bends his ears in thought. "Yeah, she's not a part of our pack anymore, we're not going on search parties for her every time she runs-"

"She didn't run away," a tan wolf says quietly.

"She was taken?" I ask in disbelief.

"We believe so. Her room stunk of human blood," James says, his tail swishing anxiously back and forth.

"Vampires took her..." Jake growls to himself.

"Do you think they've bitten her?" I ask, fearing the answer.

"I don't think so. If I know Danni, she probably got loose and is running around, hiding and such," Joey says, his brown eyes full of hope.

"Bro, there's thirty of them recorded in this area. There's no chance she's getting away," Matt says honestly.

Joey sighs. "This is my fault... I told her to get some sleep and left her alone in her room. I should have just played ping pong with her, maybe then she'd still be here..."

"It's not your fault," I say quietly. "It's mine. I fought with her and she left. If we didn't have that fight then she went to you guys. You're not capable of handling vampires."

"Watch it, Beta," James snarls.

"Stop," growls Seth. We look at him. "If we want to find Danni and rip those bitches' heads off then we need to work together," he says roughly.

"He's right," Jake says firmly.

"There's a string of covens along the rivers up east. They use the river to attack fishermen and people who like to go boating. I say we start there," Matt suggests.

"There's eleven of us. I say we stay together to tackle them. We can't win if we're in smaller groups," Joey adds.

We all nod and grunt our approvals.

"Is everyone willing to risk their lives? Because we have to save her before she's bitten," I say. They look at me.

"What do you mean? Why wouldn't they just bite her now?" an auburn wolf asks.

"They'd want to torture her, I know it. They'll give her hope, and just when they know we're there, that's when they'll bite her, so we see her turn," I say.

I look down to where my paw was scraping at the ground. There's a hole from where my aggressive paw had been digging at the dirt.

"So when do we leave?" Seth asks.

I look at them, trying to read all of their expressions. No one seems to be backing down. With a howl of warning to all vampires who get in our way, I look at them, my charcoal eyes blazing with anger.

"Let's go."

Okay everyone! I know this chapter is short, but come on, it's a filler! I needed something to lead up to this scene!

Still, is anyone uneasy about Allie? Oh yeah, what's going on with the whole Tyler/Danni/Joey love triangle? If that's what you want to call it...

Love? Pshh. What am I talking about?

Hehe ;)

Love you all! <3
