Her eyes open, revealing golden irises instead of a clear blue. Her thick lashes cast dark shadows on her amber eyes, and her wounds start to slowly heal.

"What happened?" she asks, her voice sounding as if she hasn't talked in years.

"You were bitten," Seth says quietly.

She shoots up, propping herself on her elbows, fear starting to fill her eyes.

"I've been-- bitten?" she asks.

I nod my head. "I was almost able to stop it, I'm sorry," I reply.

She shakes her head. "They're gonna be after me, aren't they? They'll want to change me!"

"Danni," James says sympathetically, kneeling down beside her body, which looks like she was never wounded.

He pushes her hair off the left side of her neck, running his fingers along the two little holes there, which are shaped in perfect circles.

Her bottom lip trembles, and her eyes blink quickly. She slowly turns to her right, where a mirror lays shattered on the floor.

James grabs her hand, trying to stop her from looking, but she shakes her head, gently pulling her wrist from his hand.

She crawls over to the mirror, picking the largest shard off the ground. She holds it eye level, remaining motionless, before finally letting it shatter even further on the ground.

Her fingers run absentmindly over the rounded scars on her neck, her hand shaking.

"I'm....one of them?" she asks, rather then says.

"Danni, this is all my fault," Joey says quietly, kneeling down next to her, his hand atop of hers. He looks at me, and I could swear his eyes are watering.

"How....How close were you?" she stutters out.

"We went to the house where the Mystics usually are, but after we killed the majority of them, we realised you weren't there-" I start, but she cuts me off.

"And then I told you I was at the waterfall, right?"

I nod, continuing my story. There were about twelve of them down there, but Joey and me decided to find you before it was too late. So we went up there, and Joey distracted the vampire while I went in to find you...But-"

"That bitch was strong. She fed on something powerful beforehand," Joey comments.

I nod. "I knew the vampire, too. She lived next to me before this all happened," I say, meaning the whole werewolf thing. "I should have realised, you know. She's been all over me and hinting-"

"All over you?" Danni snaps, mocking my tone.

"I'm sorry..." I apologize again. "I should have known-"

"What's her name?" Danni asks angrily.

"Allie Neeson," I answer.

"Allie Neeson...Allie Neeson," she repeats in her head.

"You aren't thinking of killing her, are you?" Matt asks, sounding worried.

"I don't see why not. Her coven is mostly dead, and I'm stronger then her," she growls.

"You're not going to be okay for a while," Seth says quietly.

"There'll be some side effects, mind you," Ian adds.

"Like?" Danni asks.

"Blood-thirst-"

"What!"
