"Danni effed up on that one," Jake jokes as I finish Danni's story.

"Shut up," I snap at him.

He looks at me like I have twenty heads.

"Why are you so defensive of her lately?" Ian asks. Everyone narrows their eyes at me.

"She's a good friend and a member of this pack. We should treat her just like that," I lie. I can't tell them the truth.

"Whatever man. Anyways, we should get some sleep. It's 4 am," Seth tells us. We say our good nights and Ian and Jake retreat to their rooms.

"Do you like her?" Seth asks me once we are alone.

"Who?" I ask, pretending to play dumb.

"Who do you think?" he retorts.

"I dunno, Danni I guess?" I reply.

"Obviously," he says, laying down on his bed.

"I don't know, she's cool and all..." I trail off.

"You know what I mean," he says bitterly.

"No," I reply quickly, shutting off the lights. I lay down in bed and pull my covers over me, even though I can't get cold. Seth understands this as me wanting to drop it, so he doesn't say anything else. He just lets it go, and I quickly go to sleep.

I wake up having the same dream as always- It's the memory of me imprinting on Danni. But last night it was more like a nightmare.

Danni found out that I imprinted on her. She laughed. She thought I was kidding. But I told her I wasn't, and she told the rest of the pack. They kicked me out.

It was horrible, but that's not even the worst of it.

Vampires found out I imprinted on her, too. They went and attacked her, but since I was kicked out of the pack I wasn't there. They ended up biting her, and made her into a hybrid.

But when I woke up in a cold sweat, feeling clammy and naseus, I constantly told myself the same thing; "It was just a dream."

I go into the living room to find only Ian up, his hair in all directions.

"Hey," he says, turning around from the couch.

"Hey," I echo. "Is anyone else up?"

He smiles and laughs. "Is anyone else EVER up?"

I laugh too and go into the fridge, getting out some Gatorade. I go to the kitchen table, where Ian has already made toast, and take a couple of slices, joining him on the couch.

"Where's Danni?" I ask, noticing she's not here.

"Oh yeah, she went into town again. Said she needed to get some more clothes," he says, completely absorbed in the show he's watching, which is the highlights from the previous night's hockey games.

"Wait, what!" I say a little too loudly.

"She...Went...Into...Town," he says slowly. I hit his shoulder at his idiocracy.

"You let her go into town? By herself?" I repeat.

He turns to face me, irratated that I am interupting him.

"She's a werewolf. She can handle herself. Especially because they're not going to attack her in the daylight. It would attract too much attention," he says.

Seth comes walking in, his hair even worse than Ian's.

"Jake still isn't up?" he asks, yawning.
