I woke up to the very little sunlight shining into my room. I had made sure when decorating my room to get darker color curtains so the light doesn't completely shine into my room. Just a little. Maddy likes that so when she's over she can sleep in as long as she wants too.
I rubbed my eyes and blinked a view times. I looked at my clock and groaned.
8 am.
"Hey."
I quickly stood up and grabbed the bat behind the chair next to my bed.
"Woah, woah, Abi it's just me!" She defended.
"Why are you in my-" I reached for my throat. "What happened to my voice?!"
"Abi stop talking." Sam pleaded. She handed me a cup of warm tea.
"What happened to my voice?" I asked horsily.
"You lost it and it won't come back if you keep talking that loud." She sighed. "You don't remember?"
I shook my head.
"You had a bad dream about a wolf or something. You kept screaming and I came in here and shook you awake. You were all sweaty and gross how can you not remember that?"
I shook my head and crinkled my nose. I finished off my tea quickly.
"Weird." It sounded a bit better. Not as noticeable.
Sammie's phone started blaring her Austin Mahone ringer. "Banga Banga."
"What do you want?" She asked rather rudely. I looked at her shocked.
"I'm just kidding Cassie." She giggled.
I breathed out a sigh of relief realizing my sister was still that cute little girl who wouldn't hurt a bug.
"Well I'm not sure, I have to go to football practice. Let me ask."
"Can we drop off Cassie's phone charger before you take me to practice? She left it here and she keeps having to use Jakob's."
I nodded.
"Okay I'm going to get my shoes on then we will be on our way."
They said her goodbyes and hung up.
"You might want to change from that attire." She said.
I looked down at my 'Niall' sweatpants that Niall actually bought for me himself. Sure is a strange boy. Must've been dark last night I rarely wear these unless he's over and I know he's not had the best week.
I walked over to my closet as she left the room shutting the door behind her. I took a shower last night so I'll just out that if until I get back from dropping her off.
I threw on some black leggings and a Uni sweater that my cousin sent me from his campus. I rolled my hair into a sock bun and threw on a scarf, as August is closing in on us.
I jogged down stairs meeting Sammie at the bottom.
"Do you have your inhaler?" I asked.
"Yesmam." She nodded.
"Alrighty." I grabbed my keys.
Once we were settled in my car, I started it and pulled out of the driveway.
"So, have you talked to Seth?" I smiled.
She turned and looked out the window to hide her blush.
"Uh, yeah. He's also sighed up for fall football. We are on the same team."
"That's cool." I nodded. "Anything else?" I laughed.
"Yeah." She turned back to me. "Could you, uh, mate drive me to the movies in Friday night?"
Good thing we were at a stop light.
"Oh my! A date? Little Sam Sam's going on a date!"
"Oh lord." She shook her head.
The light turned green and I pulled off.
"So how did he do it? Like ask you."
"Well," she started. "It was kinda all thanks to you."
I gave her a questioning look.
"Well, when you woke me up last night from all that dream drama, I checked my phone to see the time. I had a text from Seth asking if I was awake and I replied yes. On my way to your room, he called me and said he had even thinking about me ever since that kiss, and just asked me on a date." She shrugged blushing.
We pulled into the drive of Jakob's and Cassie's home.
"That's so cute."
She jumped out of the car and I decided to do the same. I should talk to Jakob.
"Hey guys!" Cassie greeted.
Her and Sam said chatting at the door and I went in to talk to Jakob.
"He's in his room." Cassie said pointing up the stairs.
I walked up the what seems like endless saris but is only fifteen or twenty steps.
I slowly opened the door and my mouth hung open.
"Oh, uh. Abi. Hi?"
