The front door opened and closed moments later. It wasn't for a while until I heard footsteps coming towards the living room.

"Sam watch where you walk." I laughed seeing as he eyes were glued to her phone, smile plastered to her face.

She shook her head. "I'm- yeah I'm going to go take a shower then go to bed. Goodnight." I waved.

"Goodnight!" Bryce yelled running up to her and hugging her leg.

"Night Bryce." She smiled and headed up the stairs after he go of her leg.

"It's only 10." Maddy said surprised. "And Bryce is still wide awake." She laughed.

"I slept in late." He giggled crawling back onto my lap.

"Did you?" I giggled poking his stomach.

He nodded.

"It's time to go buddy." Maddy yawned and stood up.

"Please no! Wanna stay longer." He said hugging me tight.

"Sorry bud. Mum wants you back."

"Bye." He said kissing me cheek sloppily.

I giggle and returned it.

After they left I trotted upstairs and knocked on the door.

"Come in."

I opened the door to her room which was dimly lit by the lights strung across the room. She was sitting cross legged on her bed having changed from her clothes into a sweatshirt and shorts.

"Hey." She smiled.

"How was the date?" I laughed sitting on her desk chair. I noticed her hair wasn't wet, so now shower like she said.

She sighed happily. "Perfect."

"That's great." I smiled. "So?"

"So what?" She asked.

"Did you kiss him?" I asked.

"Oh." She said looking down and fluffing up Doug's ears.

"Well?"

"I seen Niall at the theater." She said. "And Della."

I inwardly groaned.

"She seems..."

"Rude?"

She nodded.

A knock at the door interrupted our conversation.

"I still expect an answer." I sang running down the stairs slowing when I reached the bottom. I glanced at the clock above the couch.

I walked over to the door and opened it slowly.

"Liam?"

"Sorry to bother you so late. I don't have your number. I would've called."

"That's fine. It's not really late for me." I said. My everyone's around like 2. "Why didn't you get it from Niall?"

"He can't know about this." He said.

"What?"

"Okay so you know September is next month? I was talking to the other boys a while back and we were thinking a surprise party for Niall?" He shrugged.

"That's actually a good idea." I nodded.

"Kinda known for that." He laughed.

I shook my head and laughed. "Big headed."

He fake scoffed.

"But anyways, you probably know all of the people here in your little group of friends and such. You and I, the boys, we can get together one day and plan it all. We are staying the in the next town over for a few days."

"Yeah that sounds great."

"Oh and we'll have to include Della." He said.

I nodded readjusting my legs from crossed. I heard soft footsteps trod down the steps.

"Oh hey." She said.

"Hey Sammie. Long time no see yeah?"

She nodded. "Y-yeah." She looked towards me. "Just need a bottle of water." She walked into the kitchen.

"I guess I could try to talk to Della." I said.

He nodded before standing up. "Good."

We swapped numbers and he said he would text me.

We said our goodbye and with that he was gone.

"Surprise party for Niall eh?" Sammie came in with a bottle of water.

I nodded. "Snoop much?"

"You act like you're ever so quiet." She rolled her eyes.

"Sounds like a cool thing to do." She nodded.

"Yeah actually."

"Oh and yes."

I looked at her puzzled.

"Yes what?"

"Seth kissed me."

"Oh my gosh! Details!"

"What do you be details?" She snorted. "He put his lips on mine what could be so detailed about it."

"Goodnight." I shook my head trying not to laugh.

She jogged upstairs without another word.

Now what could I get Niall for his birthday?

It's not like I forgot all about it. I've been thinking about a gift since July! Niall isn't that picky when it comes to gifts. Throw in a shirt and a new pair of shoes and he's happy.

But I want to get him something special.
