"Sirius?"
The dark haired boy was standing at my front door, snowflakes in his hair and bruises dotting his neck and skin. Shivering slightly, he met my gaze, his hair dripping.
"Amy, why don't you go draw sissy a picture?" I suggested, waiting until Amaya ran off into the living room. "Let's get you cleaned up alright?" I murmured, taking Sirius' hand and leading him upstairs and into my bedroom. I bent down to find him some clothes and when I turned around, I was met with a horrible sight. Sirius was crying. Choked sobs left parted lips as he attempted to hold himself together by wrapping his arms around himself. Immediately I wrapped him in a hug, squeezing him tightly and ignoring the fact he was completely soaked.
"I-I-I c-couldn't stay there a-a-anymore. I-I-I'm s-s-s-sorry," he choked out, gasping for air as he buried his face in my neck.
"You have nothing to be sorry for," I whispered, running a hand over his hair before pulling back and giving him a tight smile. "You're always welcome here, Pads."
Grey eyes met my own, once again reminding me of the storms I loved and I wrapped Sirius in another hug, holding him tightly as sobs wracked his body.
"You're safe now," I promised, squeezing him tightly. "You're safe, Sirius. They can't hurt you anymore."
"W-where am I s-supposed to g-go?" Sirius sounded strangled as he took in harsh breaths, desperately trying to calm down. "I-I don't have anywhere else."
"Hey," I murmured, squeezing his hand gently, "You can stay here. You're not alone, alright?" I watched as his breathing grew even more erratic, his chest heaving as a panic attack ensued.
"I'm going to die. I'm going to die," he muttered, falling to the ground and rocking back and forth as his body quivered. A thin sheen of sweat appeared on his face as I grabbed his hand and sat next to him. "I'm going to die," he whispered, tears filling his grey eyes.
"You're not going to die," I reminded him gently, "Look at me, Pads. I promise, you're going to be okay. Just look at me."
"Promises are broken."
"Not this one," I rubbed his hand between my own, "Breathe with me, alright? Breathe in. Deep breaths."
"I-I can't stop it. Not this time," he said brokenly.
"That's okay. I'll be here with you the whole time," I replied, squeezing his hand gently. I briefly wondered how I had never seen this side of Sirius before. "You're going to get through this," I encouraged, "You're safe."

"I'm sorry," Sirius whispered softly from his spot on my floor. I flipped over so I could face him, glancing towards him. The moonlight shone softly on his figure, his curly hair barely outlined.
"For what?" I asked, genuinely confused as I watched the grey-eyed boy shift slightly. His hair was still wet as he had just finished showering and he sighed before facing me again.
