"Shhh," I hissed, looking back at Sirius who was loudly saying goodbye to the other Marauders. It was the first night of our pranking and we had a lot to do. The last thing we needed was to get caught before we had even started the prank.

"I'm ready," Sirius declared, smirking at my annoyed expression before sauntering off in front of me. I glanced back, giving Remus a huge smile as the werewolf rolled his eyes at the grey eyed boy's antics. James waved and I gave the three boys a small wave before jogging after Sirius. "Mrs. Norris is on the second floor. Filch is in his office," Sirius told me, earning a confused expression.

"How do you know that?" I asked peering over his shoulder and stepping back as he quickly hid a parchment behind his back. "Okay, then. Have your secrets. Right now we have a job to do," I stated, ignoring the small pang of hurt in my chest, "You take the fourth floor. I'll take the sixth and we can meet up on the fifth."

"We weren't supposed to split up," Sirius argued, tucking the piece of parchment into his robes and rolling his eyes, "You know that."

"It'll go faster this way," I shot back, not really wanting to spend another minute around him if he was going to be rude, "Besides, I wouldn't want to disturb you and your parchment, now would I?" With those words, I flounced off, my hair swinging in its long dark braid as I made my way towards the sixth floor. Pulling out my wand, I quickly cast multiple spells in each of the corridors, making piles of snow appear and mistletoe grow from the ceiling. By the time I was finished, large snow drifts were set up all over the corridors, except near the stairs and sprigs of mistletoe dotted the ceiling. Grinning at a job well done, I begrudgingly headed to help Sirius with the fifth floor.

"What took you so long?" Sirius barked, looking at me incredulously while I merely shot him a glare.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Parchment Snogger," I sneered at him before pulling out my wand and quickly casting the spells. Suddenly, I heard a dreaded noise.

"Students out of bed! Students in the corridors!" Filch hissed as he plodded up the stairs. Both Sirius and I exchanged pale shocked glances before barreling down the empty halls and pulling each other along.

"This way," Sirius panted, yanking me down a dark hallway and pulling me through one of the doorways. "Oof," he grunted as the momentum of his tug knocked the two of us over and I landed on top of him.

"Sorry," I apologized, quickly waving my hand at the door and watching as it tightly sealed itself. It was silent for a moment, the only sounds in the small closet our heavy breathing and pounding hearts. Realizing I was still on top of Sirius, I quickly stood, cursing as a faint blush rose in my cheeks and helped pulled him to his feet. I faced the door, ready for Sirius' inappropriate comment, but it never came. Instead when I looked back, I could have sworn he was blushing slightly too.

Filch's footsteps echoed in the corridors as he trotted by our hiding place. After pausing for a few seconds, a crash came from a different floor and Filch went racing off to catch the culprits.

"Finite incantatum," I whispered, watching as the door unsealed itself and opened. "Come on," I urged, "Let's hurry up and finish so we can leave." We both quickly began casting the spells, watching as large piles of snow appeared in the corridors and sprigs of mistletoe sprouted from the ceiling.

Sirius stood next to me, casting spells as we finished our job. Grinning at each other, we moved to head back towards Gryffindor tower, but were held back by an invisible force. Glancing up, I realized the dimwit had decided to jinx some of the mistletoe and we had unknowingly walked under it.

"Now look what you've done," I hissed at him, my eyes narrowing as the dark haired boy realized what had happened and amusement colored his features. "It's not funny," I snapped, crossing my pale arms in front of my chest and huffing, "How do you suppose we're supposed to get out of this?"
