Grace walked upto Hannah with her hands sweating and her heart beating so fast, it felt like it could burst out her chest any second now.
After an awkward encounter, they moved to the back corner but still close enough to Hannahs date that she could possibly hear. In a whisper so it was just the two of them who could hear each other, Hannah started the conversation.
"Grace, what are you doing here?"
"I went to your house but you weren't there, so me and Mamrie came for dinner and I saw you"
"Why were you looking for me?"
"Don't make me say it"
"Say what? What are you going to say?" Hannahs voice turned into am agressive whisper. She didn't mean to get frustrated but she just wanted Grace to say the words. That way, Hannah couldn't misinterprete anything.
"I came to apologise and to ask..." Grace looked down and Hannah slowly lifted her chin up so their eyes met.
"Ask me what?"
"Choose me. Date me"
"Grace" Hannah had bearly got a voice and she looked down, coursing Grace to mimic Hannahs actions.
"What?"
"My date"
They both turned their heads to find Emily had left.
"Never mind" Hannah nervously giggled.
"Hannah?"
Again, with Hannahs head lowered, Grace grabbed Hannahs hand and pulled her closer. Hannah was taken by suprise but once she clocked what was happening, all her thoughts were nonexistent and she felt like they were the only two people in that room. Grace kissed Hannah like she has never kissed anyone before. It was filled with nothing but passion. Grace pulled away and Hannah was weak at the knees.
"You want to sit down or?"
"Hannah, I don't know about you, but I need a drink"
"Coming up. Sit down and I'll be back in a second"
"Okay"
Grace sat down and looked over at the bar a noticed Mamrie left. She text her best friend;
"Mamrie, Where did you go?"
"I left when you two were making out in the corner, I love you but tmi"
"Haha yeah"
"Have fun tonight, Grace. Don't over think anything. Hannah is a wonderful person"
"Yeah she is, thank you. She's coming over now"
"I want updates"
"You got it"
Grace put her phone away, only wanting to pay attention to the one person.
"Hey, you"
"Hey" Hannah smiled. "Didn't you say you came here with Mamrie?"
"Yeah she left, she wanted to leave us to it"
Hannahs phone vibrated on the table and she got a text from Mamrie.
"Speaking of the devil"
Hannah read out loud without reading it to herself first. Which she probably should have done.
"Told you she was into you, you've got what you've been crying about, now don't screw it up. Love you girls so much, have fun" Hannah voice got more quiet as she read on in the text. She sighed as she rolled her eyes, putting her phone in her pocket.
"You've been crying?" Grace was filled with guilt.
"Grace, I've loved you since that night at the bar, we had a connection and I thought" Hannah stopped and took a deep breath. "I thought you felt that too and when you chose Scott? That hurt"
"You love me"
"More than you'll ever know"
"Then why....never mind" Grace took a sip of her drink.
"No, what?"
"Never mind, it's not important"
"Grace, there's one thing you have to know now before anything continues between us. I am very stubborn. If you pull that shit, I will eventually get it of you. I won't get mad. I've got questions aswell, it's better for us if we get them out the way now instead of bottling them up"
"Okay....Then why did you go on a date with Emily"
"I was hurting, Grace. I thought you walked away. I thought you didn't feel the same way I did. She was probably going to be the one night stand that happens to be your ex. I was trying to move on but I didn't know how so when I bumped into her, it just seemed easy. I didn't want to go out and put myself out there because I knew I wasn't ready. She was just a mistake all together. Three years of a huge mistake"
"Great, good job, Helbig, you've triggered the girl. Leave that subject alone"
"I'm sorry, Hannah"
"It's okay, Grace. Your phones going of"
"Ugh"
"Mamrie?"
"Scott"
"Oh" Hannah sank in her seat but Grace grabbed her hand and looked her in the eyes.
"It's you I want. It was always you. Scott is going to be out of my life sooner than you think"
"You promise?" Hannah felt stupid holding out her pinky but Grace found it adorable.
"Promise"
"That was a pinky promise"
"I know"
"We're grown woman"
Grace giggled "I know"
"You can't break that promise"
"I'll never break our promises"
"Promise?"
"Stop it" Grace's smile has never been bigger.
"Sorry"
The both girls sat and smiled until another text broke them back to reality.
"Seriously though, what are you going to do?"
"I'm going to break up with him"
"You going to tell him why?"
"I'm going to tell him the truth. That we've both changed and we just don't click anymore"
"Grace, you cheated on him"
"We haven't been a couple for months, Hannah. We don't love each other anymore. The only thing I love about him is the relationship we had, I've only just realised that in the past twenty minutes of being with you"
"He will guess that i'm involved, you know he will"
"Yeah, probably"
Hannah and Grace sat talking for hours. They put everything on the table, talking like they've just met. They chose to take the relationship slow, Hannah wanted to know Scott was out the picture for good before they took their relationship to the next level. Grace was still terrified on how much she feels for Hannah so they didn't have "that talk" for a while. They both got separate cabs and stayed on the phone until the Grace fell asleep.
"What is this girl doing to me?" Hannah thought smiling, trying to make pictures with the dots on her ceiling. She turned to her side and felt so grateful that her ex wasn't there. "That bitch is crazy, how did I ever think for a second that that was a good idea? I don't care anymore, as soon as Grace breaks up with Scott then we keep moving"
Hannah fell asleep to the pictures of what her future could look like with Grace.
