The plan would be enforced tomorrow.

Percy had gotten together with Jason a couple days ago to find out how they were to rescue Annabeth from her dangerous journey. Honestly, Percy was fed up with the gods. No, he doesn't regret the decision he made when he turned sixteen on whether he should keep or destroy the gods, but he was sick of constantly having to save their butts.

First, there was the stupid lightning, then it was the stupid fleece, then it was Annabeth (which was the only non-stupid thing), then there was the stupid labyrinth, then the stupid titan, and then the Hera switcheroo, and the eagle, and now this? Percy's had enough. He craved the normal life he used to have before the stupid gods got involved. He's been their little butler, doing their dirty work like a hit man ever since he was twelve and he was tired of it all. Right now, he just wanted to kick some evil butts and call it a day.

Despite these thoughts, he knew it could never be this simple. No matter how much he just wanted to sit at home with his mom eating some blue waffles (yes, he admits it. Percy wants his mommy), he couldn't do it. He knew that. He told the gods once before, he's not doing this for them. He's doing this for the people he loves. He's doing this for Annabeth.

There's another thing other than his missing girlfriend that has been troubling Percy. That girl, Piper McLean, she's been acting weird. It's starting to seem like she's avoiding him whenever possible, but when he looks at her, she's looking at him. Honestly, it's starting to really creep Percy out a little, but intriguing him at the same time. What's on her mind? What is she thinking about? It keeps him on his toes.

Mainly, it's because he has a vague memory of someone that she reminds him of. It's on the very tip of his tongue. This is constantly on his mind. Sometimes he would be in the middle of a conversation with someone on the ship, and something he or someone else says would trigger a picture in his mind of a awfully familiar tan little girl with a bright smile and extremely long hair. He would be so close to remembering, but then the memory would leave as soon as it came and a small headache would replace the vacuum.

When this happened the first time, he knew something was up. He hadn't felt anything like this since Hera took his memory. That's when he knew that this girl, the quiet yet feisty Piper McLean, was important, but he couldn't figure out why or how.

It was annoying him to the ends of the earth.

Why couldn't he remember? He felt like how he felt when he was bathing in the River Styx a few years ago. He felt so frustrated with himself when he felt his soul slipping from his body. He felt so helpless, and he hated it. Then, he looked up and saw Annabeth and he caught back to himself and got out of that river feeling renewed and better than ever. If he were thinking metaphorically, he needed an Annabeth to pull him from his mind block. He wanted to know so bad. If Percy hated anything, it would be to be kept in the dark.

Percy blinked and took the area around him in. Since when did he leave his room? He didn't remember getting up. Now, he was on the deck. He scanned the oceans under him. So badly did he want to jump off the side of the balistae and into the ocean where he knew he was safe and could spend the rest of his life without any worries. The cool ocean breeze relieved the muggy feeling he felt. The taste of salt danced lightly on his taste buds. Breathing in another breath, Percy took a seat on the ground and stared between the railings.

The water helped him think. He found a solution for his dilemma. It was killing him. He needed to know what was up with this Piper character, and he needed to do it soon, before they go to rescue Annabeth tomorrow. Percy knew he would put his life down on the line if it was worth saving Annabeth's and he figured the least he could do is try and solve this mystery that was knocking on the back of his skull constantly.

Percy was going to find Piper and talk to her.

Now.

Oooh! Cliffhanger.

Next chapter, Percy is going to confront Piper! Poor Ms. McLean doesn't suspect a thing. Haha, oh well. Too bad, so sad.

Last chapter, all you lovely folk gave me the amount of votes that I wanted after less than 24 hours! That is amazing, guys! You don't know how happy I was when I saw that I had gotten so many votes so fast. I was kinda in shock for a while.

Since it was so easy for you guys to give me 15 votes last time, I'm going to be courageous and ask for 23+ votes! I hope you guys can do that for me :)

I will talk to you guys soon. Goodbye.
