Piper was in a pretty good mood. Despite the fact that she was technically cheating on her boyfriend, she was back with Percy, the one she'd loved all along. Guilt had somehow flew itself out of her concious, leaving her in a happy and girly mood for the rest of the day. She'd spent all day in her room (at least when she wasn't fighting monsters that were randomly attacking the ship) thinking about her new secret relationship with Percy. Piper found herself daydreaming about all the things that they could do together, and she loved it.
On the other hand, there was Hazel. She was shocked by what she had seen. The daughter of Pluto had witnessed Percy and Piper together, kissing. Hazel was so confused. Wasn't Piper dating Jason? Weren't they supposed to be madly in love? Ugh, Hazel thought. So much drama!
She was scared. Should she go tell Piper about what she say, or should she stay quiet and live with the guilt of knowing that Piper had cheated on Jason?
Percy, on the other hand, was doing pretty good. Despite the fact that he was hiding a big secret from the big seven and that monsters seemed to attack them every fifteen minutes, he was doing good. He was glad he had his memories back. Lying down on his bed with his face buried into his pillow, he began to play every moment he had shared with Piper in his head as if he were watching a memory. He was extremely fond of them, although he couldn't find any hints of Piper's apparent crush on him.
Yet again, people have always said that he wasn't the most observant person out there, especially when it came to romance. It did take five years for him to realized that Annabeth had liked him.
Piper was preparing for bed when there was a knock. Her heart sped up, hoping that the unexpected visitor would be Percy, but she was surprised when she saw who it really was.
Jason.
Her smile sank as guilt overcame her. Her blonde boyfriend stood a couple of feet away from the entrace with his wrists shoved deep into his pants' pockets. Their eyes connected. The usual sparks that would ignite in Piper's stomach was now replaced with an empty feeling. A small grin spread its way onto Jason's lips.
"Hey, Pipes," he greeted her, stepping closer. "You mind if I come in?"
Yes. "Nope, not at all."
It didn't even take a full minute for the two to get settled; Piper on her bed and Jason in a chair, the very same chair Percy sat in all that time ago.
Gods, I still can't get him out of my head, even when I'm with my boyfriend.
Jason shot Piper a half smile. It looked extremely fake to her.
"Look, Piper." Jason mumbled. He released a deep and heavy sigh. "I... don't know how to say this..."
Piper's left eyebrow shot up. Could he just get on with it already? She's a tough girl. She can handle it.
"It's about you... I mean, me." Grunting, Jason ran a hand through his blond hair. "It's about us."
"Are you breaking up with me?"
Jason paused. Okay, he had not expected her to get it.
"Yeah... I guess so. I mean yes." Jason felt so frustrated with himself. Never before did he half a problem with getting out his thoughts. He just felt so guilty. He had been meaning to tell her for days. Weeks. Months even.
"Piper... I just don't like you like that," he concluded. "Not in that way. I don't think I ever did. You were always a great friend to me and I noticed you started to have feelings for me and I thought I felt the same. I honestly think I was just trying to convince myself that I liked you. I was trying to-" Jason stopped himself.
"Trying to what, Jason?" Piper asked, still in shock. The irony of the situation was just too much.
"Nothing," he concluded with a powerful tone of finality in his voice, only a tone of authority that a son of Zeus could have. "But Piper, I hate to tell you this, but we just can't be in a relationship. I'm so sorry.
And with that, he got up and left, leaving a shocked and confused, but happy Piper.
Whooo!! Got an update published!
Okay, I've been seriously procrastinating. Like, seriously procrastinating. It's been two months, maybe three since my last update. Although I really have been busy with school and sports, I have also not been wanting to update, honestly. I just didn't want to.
I know it's horrible because I hate it when my favorite Wattpad authors do that, so I know how you feel. I will try my very best to get my updates out. I was doing pretty good of a job until now, though :)
Bye, guys. See you in a week!
