Chapter 3

Layla's P.O.V.

"Ready?" Lauren said smiling at me. I took a sip of water. We were back stage. "Ready!" I waved to Lily and Liv who were on the other side of the stage. "Quite the crowd today." Melissa our manager said smiling. I had a professional "verify" my makeup and clothes. "Yep!" Lauren and I chorused. A man walked onto stage. "What's up guys!" He was answered with a lot of cheering and applause. "Well you guys obviously didn't come to hear me! So let's give a warm welcome to Lx4!" He yelled. I smiled and walked on stage. "Give 'em the show of their life!" Melissa called to us. "Let's kill it!" I said smiling at Liv, Lily, and Lauren. 'Well Duh!" Liv said laughing. They took their positions. Lauren on drums, Lily on keyboard, and Liv on guitar. I could play all the instruments, they could all play more than one, and they could all sing but they voted me as the lead singer. "We're going to be singing our original song Me! If you haven't heard it check it out on our youtube channel!" I said into the mic.

Lily: Finally steady! 

All: Not gonna fall! (spoken)

Liv: Finally ready!

All: Waiting for the call! (spoken)

Lauren: I'm me! (Yelled)

All: I'm me! (Yelled)

Layla: Tried tellin' me I'm weird!

Lily and Liv: Already knew that! (Spoken)

Layla: Not livin' a life of fear!

All: YEAH TRUE DAT! (Yelled)

Lauren : I'm me! (yelled)

All: I'm me! (yelled)

Lily: I may not have the money.

Liv: I may not have the new clothes.

Layla: I may not be in style.

Lauren: But you and I both know.

All: Yeah you and I both know (whisper sung)

Lauren : I'm me! (yelled)

Lauren : Happy! (yelled)

All: I'm free! (yelled)

Layla: I'm MEEEEEEEEE! (Celine Dion style)

*SONG OVER!*

"Thanks guys!" I said after all the applause. "So I guess-" I started. Lauren hip bumped me out of the way. "Not yet Layla!" She sing-songed. "Today is Layla's 19th birthday so we have a gift for all of you. Backwards but cool!" Lily said into her mike. "We took a poll earlier about what song you want us to sing today, right now!" Liv said. "We don't know what song you picked until now!" Liv said. We all turned towards to the screen on the left. "You voted!" Lauren said. "And you're favorite was... drum roll please..." Lily said smiling. "I NEED YOUR LOVE BY ELLIE GOULDING!" Liv yelled. "So we're going to go backstage for 5 minutes to prepare! See you in 5 Lovers, Lunatics, Laughers, and Lucky ones!" Lily yelled into her mike. We all waved good bye. "I hate you all." I said laughing as we walked backstage. "You can tell us that as many times as you want later, we gotta prepare doods!" Lauren said laughing with me.
