Layla's P.O.V.

My alarm went off. I groaned and immediately shut it off.  My brain was still trying to comprehend the dream. I remembered the dark room. Was it real? Could I trust a dream?

Even if it wasn't real I needed to forgive and forget. But could I really trust Mitch? Or was the reason I didn't want to related to the lies he told me as Hugo? I was so confused!

I got out of bed slowly and got dressed.

Simple blouse, jeans, and wedges. I was getting used to walking around in them.

My phone buzzed.

Have you made up your mind yet? Please forgive me! I'm so sorry! -Mitch

I sighed.

You're pushing me to hard! I haven't made up my mind! -Layla

I put my phone in my purse and pulled out my keys. School was starting again and I wasn't exactly "excited."

I hopped into my car and drove to UCLA.

*TIME WARP*

The bell rang and everyone filed out of class. "Be back here in 2 hours!" Mrs. Silo yelled. I dropped my textbook into my book bag. "Hold on a minute Layla." Mrs. Silo called. 'Yes Mrs. Silo?"  I said walking over. "Can you head to the main office? They need you to do something up there." She said.

*AT THE MAIN OFFICE*

I looked at the receptionist. "Layla Blue?" I said to her. She smiled. "They'll see you in that room." She said pointing to a door at the end of the hallway. I passed by another office's window. I saw a flash of a face.

Was that Mitch?

I remembered the day at the restaurant.

Crap.

Were Mitch, Jerome, and Lauren starting school today?

I knocked on the door. "Come in!" A voice said. I opened the door. A man in a suit greeted me. The head of the school.

"I'll bet you're wondering why you're here." The man said. "Yes Sir." I said smiling. The man smiled. "Such charisma and good manners!" He said chuckling. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat.

"We have a couple new students starting today, all in your same major. We needed two or three students to show them around campus."

"So why'd you pick me?" I asked confused. The man laughed.

"I certainly didn't pick you. One of the students requested you." He said.

I wasn't liking the tone of his voice. It was pretty obvious which one of the new students had "requested" me.

"I'm not sure I would like to-"

The man cut me off.

"I understand this proposition is not desirable but we do need at least two students. We have one already chosen and if you were specially requested I will need you to take this offer."

Really? Just cause you say it I'm going to do it? Nuh uh sister! I was about to stand up and slap him.

"Even so-"

He cut me off again. "I'll speak to Mrs. Silo and get you some extra credit points alright?" He said rudely.

I looked at him. I certainly didn't need those extra credit points. I had a 4.0 GPA! That didn't mean I didn't want those points though.
