Nine years old.
Fourth grade.
You really like this one guy in your class.
His name is Lin.

It's Valentine's Day, and you get to pass out little gifts to your classmates.
Your gifts are little heart candies, that have a cute message on them.
You look through all the candies, and pick up Lin's.
His says, 'Hugs'.
You put it back in the bag, and pass out the candies to the class.
You look across the room at your table.
Lin is there, putting his gifts in your table's bags.
"I wonder what his gift is.", you say to yourself.
You finish putting the candies in everyone's bag, and walk back to your desk.

The teacher allows the class to look through their bags.
You look through your bag.
You find Lin's gift.
It is a tiny stuffed teddy bear, with a note attached to it.
The note says, "Thanks for being such a great friend. Love, Lin."
As you read the note, you don't realize that Lin was standing next to your desk.
"So, do you like the present?", he asks. "I didn't know if teddy bears were the right gift, but my mom said it would be cute."
"I love it, thank you.", you reply, blushing a little.
He then says, "I really like your present. Thank you for it."
"You're welcome.", you say, smiling.
There is a slight silence, as he turns to walk away.
"Oh yeah.", he realizes. "I meant to give you this in return."
He hugs you.
"Hugs!", he says jokingly, as he turns and walks away.
You blush even more.

The rest of the day, all you can think about was that hug.
His warm body and arms, embracing with yours.
And from then on, starts your huge crush on Lin.
