The two of us sit in his room that they have for him. He hands me a glass a water that chills my hands.

"Guess you're not being tortured, huh?" I say.

Septimus nods.

I look around the room and see that it's pretty comfy.

Septimus' bed is a cloudy sky color with a few hints of emerald green. I lie on it, running my hand through my brother's hair. "You're with them, aren't you, Septimus?" I ask.

He doesn't answer.

I take a sip of water and set it down on the table beside us.

"Why'd you do it?" he asks.

"Do what?" I say.

Septimus looks at me, no loving in his eyes for me. "You left us. Jenny and me. You left us, and because of you, Jenny died. You promised me you wouldn't leave me, June." The way he says it is quiet and cold.

I am at lost for words. "I-" I try, but it does no good. Septimus is right.

He snickers.

The face of Jenny comes back to haunt me, pulling me into grief and regret by. "I'm sorry." I cry, pathetically.

Septimus turns towards me; his right hand runs through my hair. "I thought I wouldn't ever say this, but I really hat you right now." he whispers. He stands up and grabs the pitcher. I hold out the glass to get more water and he pours it. I gulp it down and stare at him.

I start to get sleepy and I chuckle. "You put sleeping medicine in it, didn't you?" I declare.

Septimus doesn't answer.

I laugh and chuckle again. And then I fall into darkness.
