1 month later
Zayna walked speedily to her Biology classroom to write her practical test. She wanted to be there earlier so that she could do some revison.
While going through her notes she came in contact with a hard wall but only realised that it was Nate's chest.
"Whoa sorry I didn't see you there." He apologised while helping her back up.
"Clearly" she muttered under her breath.
She then went around him and walked again but stopped when he grabbed her hand and spun her around.
"What's the rush?"
"I have a test." She said giving him a blank look.
When he didn't reply she again turned around and walked but only to be stopped.
Again
"What is it Nate?" She asked getting irritated.
"I just want to talk to you. Damn what's got your g-string in a twist?"
She just glared at him and walked off in the other direction.
Getting the hint he walked along beside her.
During the walk he tried to make small conversation with her but she just responded with one word answers.Fed up her pulled her small body into the janitors closet pinning her up against the wall.
"Ok what's going on with you?!" He exclaimed.
Her breath hitched at the sudden closeness that she was experiencing.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Thinking that playing dumb would get him to leave her alone.
There was no way in hell that she was going to tell him that she likes him. She was afraid that it would ruin their friendship.
"Seriously Zayna! Stop it! We both know that's not true. What's the f**ken matter?" He growled.
"Do you really like Taylor?" She asked him. She needed to know if he was serious with her or if she is going to end up as one of his flings.
After all he was already the playboy of the school."Yes why?" He asked irrated that she wouldn't just give him a straight answer for her strange behavior towards him.
She breathed a heavy sigh feeling stupid for thinking that she had a chance with him.
"No reason. No reason at all."
She pushed him away from her and reached for the door handle, wanting to escape before she made a fool of herself.
But Nate grabbed her waist, pushing her against the wall again. His face dangerously close to hers.
"Tell me Zayna" he pleaded, his breath fanning her neck.
"I like you Nate."
Now it was out in the open and he knew what she was trying to keep from him.
It took a few minutes for her words to register in his head. He just stared at her and back away.
"Damn it. I don't know how to put this lightly Zayna but I don't like you. I just want to be friends.
With absolutely no expression she said, "No I get it. It's totally fine."Without hearing what he has to say she walked out feeling really stupid. She has already been through enough and she wasnt going to waste tears on something she knew wouldn't have worked anyway.
But it was already too late.
The tears were flowing down her face and she had no control over it.
