"Hey babe. What's bothering you?" Asked Clayton as they sat down at a park bench.

After she sent him the message, they decided to meet at the park. It was a warm night out. The stars danced around the moon in the black sky. Beautiful night for a horrible task.

Her breath shoke as she spoke, "Clayton, there's no easy way to say this......"

His smile dropped. He grabbed her hand, got up from his seat and knelt in front of her, "Zayna, do not even think about speaking those words." He panicked.

"I'm sorry." She whispered as tears fell from her eyes.

"But why?" He asked confused as he tried to hold back the tears.

She had to look away. She knew she had to let him go. But how do you tell a person, who is undeniably in love with you, that you're in love with someone else?
Here's one word......

"Nate." She said as she looked back at him.

He dropped her hands on her lap and stood up. He walked back and forth, frustratedly running his hands through his hair. Suddenly stopping he asked, "Why him? He almost killed you."

"And I forgive him for that." She stood up and walked towards him. "Clayton, I've had feelings for him since day one and they've increased. I'm sorry that I led you on."

He stepped closer and cupped her face in his hands as a tear slid down his cheek as he spoke, "But I don't want you to leave me."

She covered one of his hands with her own and said, "One day you'll find a wonderful woman who will love you just as equally. I don't deserve your love."

He kissed her. And he kissed her hard.

That kiss held so much love, anger and sadness that the two of them held deep in their hearts.

This was their goodbye.

Together they pulled away and stared into each others eyes. Slowly, he parted away and left her standing there as she watched him leaving her life.
She walked away feeling heartbroken yet relieved.

Little did she know, someone was watching her every move.......

Stranger's Point of View

He watched behind the bush as her small figure disappeared.

"Nate, you're such an idiot." The person said as he took a long drag from his cigarette before stomping it on the ground.

He stepped out from the bush and pulled out his phone, dailing his number.

"She is now a single, heartbroken 18 year old girl."

"Now, just make sure she's safe until I come back. I'll kill myself if something happens to my girl." Nate's voice said over the phone.

"Your girl? What happened with that Ameiliana chick?" Asked the person confused.

"Man, she was just there to get rid of my dad." He said irritated.

"Well, you better get Zayna back man. You're a total a$$crack for hurting her like this. This girl looks like death."

"Yeah I know. I saw from the pictures you sent me. Just make sure my baby's okay. Try to send me some pictures of her smiling as well. He blank face is making me depressed" He said.

"You are the reason that she is like this."

"Just get me the damn pictures!" And with that he hung up.

"The things I do for this idiot." He mumbled as he walked away into the night to complete his job.
