-Patrick's POV-

"Yes mom, I'm going to take good care of her" I say for what feels like the millionth time. She wasn't too happy that she was one of the last people to find out Skylar and I were a couple but she was excited to say the least. "Alright can I talk to her" my mom asks and I had the phone over. "Hi Donna" Skylar says cheerily. "Yes, Patrick has been amazing" she says with a wink. She stays silent listening to my mom and nods. "Patrick? Drinking? I can't say I have seen him drink yet... Yes I'll make sure that if there's any beer in the house I'll pour it all down the drain" she says raising her eyebrow at me. I quickly run to the fridge and protect my beer. Skylar laughs super hard and I can hear my mom asking what's happening. "Nothing Donna. You're son is just being weird" she says and my mom laughs. They talk for a little before Skylar hands the phone back to me and heads off somewhere. "She is such a sweetheart" my mom says once I get the phone to my ear. "Really? Didn't notice" I joke sitting on a stool. "I don't need this from you Patrick. Remember I still got three girls at home" she laughs causing me to roll my eyes. "There's a reason you called. Spill" I say trying to get to the point. "Okay geez. So pushy. Anyway, your sisters want to spend the weekend in Chicago and I wanted to know if we can stay with you instead of paying for a hotel" she asks. "Of course. You guys are always welcome here. You know that" I assure. "But you can't steal Skylar from me the whole time because I already know my sisters were planning to do that" I confirm. She yells out what I just said and groans sound in the background. "They're not happy about it but they'll still come" she laughs. We talk for a little bit before hanging up and I go find Skylar. She was hanging up our paintings in my living room. "You know, when the boys come over I'm telling them I drew the one on the left" I say pointing to hers. "Whatever makes you happy dear" she says patting my chest.

The weekend rolls up and I'm running around the house trying to get stuff ready for my mom and sisters. Skylar walks in and heads straight for the kitchen without a word. I walk in there and she's unloading a bunch of grocery bags into the fridge and cabinets. "What's all this" I ask. "Food. Its pretty good you should try it" she laughs. I go over and give her a kiss then help her unload. "You shouldn't have to do this" I comment. "Well I wasn't going to let you and your family starve. Plus you've done enough for me. This is nothing" she shrugs. We finish up putting everything away and move to the living room to clean up. Skylar and Jon are the only two people who have ever stayed in the spare bedroom so it was already clean. Eventually we get done and lay on the couch to wait for my family to arrive. "Quickie before my family gets here" I ask. Before she can answer there's a knock on the door and I let out a grunt. "Sorry babe. Looks like a no" she laughs and goes to the door. I hear the door open followed by sqeauling and assume my sisters are here. "You guys are never that excited to see me" I pout as they flood into my apartment. "If you were this cute maybe we would be" Erica shoots back, throwing her arm around Skylar. I roll my eyes but get up to help them lug all their shit in the spare room. "Alrighty guys, I have to go. But I'll see you at dinner" Skylar says hugging each sister and giving me a kiss. "Why are you leaving" I say holding onto her hand. "Because you need time with your family and should be grateful they're here. And I need to hit the books" she says giving me one last kiss before leaving. "That was sweet" my mom comments before sitting in the couch. We all join her and catch up on life. I miss them so much sometimes but I can't let them know that. I ask about school and all the girls say they are doing really good, that makes me a proud bother. "I really miss you big bro. I know it's almost been two years but still" Erica says. I get up and hug her patting her back hard, it was our thing. "I miss you too".

Around 6 Skylar came back and I couldn't be happier. "All my favorite girls" I say walking into Portillos. We order our food and sit down enjoying the hot dogs and hamburgers. "So... when are you two getting marrried" Jessica asks and Skylar and I both do a spit take. After we calm down and my mom finishes yelling at her we all have a good laugh. "What. I'm just saying, I don't want another sister unless it's Sky" Jessica says from across from her. I myself aren't against the idea. "Yeah, it would be nice to add a boy to the family, especially if it's Jake" I laugh before I realize what just came out of my mouth. Skylar freezes and everyone stops to look at me. "Jake.... Brother" my mom says. I fucked up. I fucked up bad. We sit silent for a while and I can feel Skylar get tense besides me. "Yeah, um. I have a brother named Jake" she says quietly. "How did we not know that" Jacqueline asks. Skylar looks down and stands up quickly. "Excuse me. I need to use the restroom" she says before darting off. "What just happened" Erica asks. "I said something I shouldn't have and now she's having a panic attack" I explain getting up. I walk in the girls restroom not really caring that I shouldn't be in there. I follow the sounds of throwing up and find Skylar on the floor. After waiting for her to stop I lift her shirt off and rub circles on her back just like Jake said to do. "Pat you can't be in here" she laughs wiping her mouth. "I don't know. I think I look great in heels" I joke trying to lighten the mood. "Thank you" she says pulling her shirt back on. "I did this to you. You shouldn't be thanking me you should punch me in the face" I say helping her off the ground. We head to the sink and she washes up quickly. "I was mad at first. Pissed even. But they were going to find out eventually. I can trust your family and they have the right to know. They're all here, might as well be now" she shrugs. "Are you sure? You don't have to do this" I assure her. "But I need to" she says and walks through the door.
