Chapter 1. The New Kid

3rd P.O.V.

It was the second year of Attack High for their little friend group, Mikasa, Annie, Armin, Krista, Jean, Marco, Sasha and Connie. Reiner and Bertholdt, their friends from juniors, became abusive bullies. Armin and Krista were a couple as well as Jean and Marco. They all had a feeling that Connie and Sasha were a little too close.

Since those 3 couples were always out on dates or whatever, Mikasa and Annie were often left by them selves or being abused by Reiner or Bertholdt. It helped strengthen their friendship by the fact that they both trained at the same martial arts dojo.  It was the first day of the second year at Attack High and as expected, none of their friends were there on the first day and Reiner and Bertholdt had come to bully them.

Mikasa P.O.V.

"What do you two want?" I said coldly. "Aww, come on, Mikasa," Reiner replied mockingly, "we're just kidding around."
"Yeah," Bertholdt chimed in, trying to sound tough but sweating prefusely.
"Well would you mind going elsewhere?" Annie snapped.
"Nah, I think we're good here," Reiner smirked.

At that point someone tapped on Reiner's shoulder.
"Hey, buddy," the owner of the hand said," she said fuck off,"
"And if I don't?" Reiner said.
"I'll have to deal with you," They replied.
I was a little taken aback. This kids come out of nowhere and challenged Reiner, the strongest in our year. He had chocolate brown hair and large, emerld eyes. He was actually quiet atractive. He looked like he couldn't care less about what's going on around him bit his clenched fists said otherwise.
"Phht, you" Reiner snorted,"What are you gonna do to the Rei-man?!"
"How about you take a swing and find out for your self," Emerald eyes replied confidently.

Taking the invitation, Reiner quickly jabbed at his jaw. He didn't even flinch, just took it. He spat out a tiny goblet of blood and said "is that all you got?"
Reiner's face looked surprised, just as emerald eyes kneed him in the gut. He bent over holding his stomach, as emerald eyes grabbed some hair on the back of his head and punched him right in the temple, thus knocking Reiner out.

I was shocked but also impressed. He took the punch as if it were nothing then proceeded to knock Reiner out in a matter of seconds! Neither me or Annie could do that. I wanted to talk to him but got cut off.
"Take him to the nurses office," He said to Bertholdt, and walked off. Just the thought of him made me blush. Then I realised, I may have a crush on him, and I barely know him. I have to find out more about him.

Time Skip: 20 mins, homeroom

Annie P.O.V.

(Who was that kid earlier?) I thought to myself. Before I could continue my train of thought, the teacher announced a new addition to the class was being made. The class mainly consisted of their friend group plus Reiner and Bertholdt (who weren't present due to the fight earlier) and a couple extras. I turned my head from the window out of curiosity.
"Come in," the teacher raised her voice slightly.

As she said it, the same kid from earlier, chocolate hair and emerald eyes, walked in, now succeeding the look of being completely not bothered by anything going on around him.
"This is Eren Jaeger, please treat nicely," the teacher said.
Eren said nothing as the teacher pointed to a seat behind me, next to mikasa and at the end if the row by the window. He chucked his bag down carelessly, sat down and look out the window.

I couldn't help but look back at him. He noticed and looked back briefly. I looked away quickly as I felt myself blushing. Why was I blushing? No boy has ever made me blush before. (BADUM) My heart was racing. What is this feeling.

Time skip: Lunch

Eren P.O.V.

I was sitting on a bench, by my self, waiting for something to happen, as two girls came up to me. One had raven black hair and looked a bit asian. The other was short and blonde. They both looked a little familiar.
"May I help you?" I asked, although I didn't really care.
"We'd just like to thank you, for earlier," the blonde said.
"And what was it I did earlier?" I asked although still not really caring. My memory is a bit off sometimes.
"You helped us out with Reiner, remember? Tall, blonde and a bully," the other said.
"Oh well don't mention it," I replied dismissively, "I just don't like bullies,"
"And why would that be?" The blonde asked.
"None of your business," I replied, "Sorry," I added
"It's no issue," the raven haired said, "by the way, I'm Mikasa and this is Annie," gesturing towards the blonde.
"Nice to meet you," I said trying, trying a warm smile but failing horribly.

They looked as if they wished to talk more but the bell sounded. I picked up my bag and walked off without a word.

Time skip: after school

I was walking out of school, just passing through the grand gate, turned the corner and there were the two girls again, looking as if they were waiting for someone. I took no notice and just kept walking, until one of them spoke up to me.
"H-Hello again," Mikasa said.
"Hello, Mikasa and Annie, right? What can I do for you?" I said.
"Well we were wondering," Mikasa started to blush," if you would like to walk home with us?"
I was surprised (but obviously didn't show it). No one had ever really tried to be social with me before. I retained my unemotional face and gave them I short simple, "sure." I could've sworn I saw Annie pull a mini fist pump.

Annie P.O.V.

It was silent for the first 5 minutes. Just the sound of 3 sets of shoes walking on the pavement, Mikasa and I walking either side of Eren. I kept trying to indicate to Mikasa to start up a conversation, but she looked just as nervous as I am. Finally tired of Mikasa's incompetence, I tried talking to Eren.
"So, Eren," I started.
"Hmm?" He looked back at me.
I tensed up. Everytime I see his beautiful eyes, my body just tenses up, my palms started to sweat and I could feel my cheeks blush. I racked my brain for something to say until I blurted out, "have you ever been in love?"
WAIT, DID I ACTUALLY JUST SAY THAT. SHIT!! Mikasa gave me one of those ' what the fuck are you doing ' looks. To be honest, I didn't know. Eren, still remaining calm as ever, replied, "yes, just once and never again." Signalling conversation over.

This made me wonder what had happened to Eren in the past. Like how did he just take Reiner's punch without even feeling it. Last kid to take one of Reiner's punches ended up in hospital with a broken arm. Oh well, I'm sure it's no big deal.

Unfortunately, my house was the shortest distance from school. The thought of Eren and Mikasa alone together made me want to shoot her. Suddenly, an idea came to me.
"Hey guys, would you like to come over to mine for a bit?" I asked.
"I'm in if Eren's in," Mikasa replied.
"Sure," Eren said dismissively.
Score, I can send Mikasa to get some drinks, then I can learn more about Eren without Mikasa overhearing.

Once we made it to my house (A 3 story, thin house), I told Eren to go in the living room, and asked Mikasa to go get some drinks, which they both did. Yes!! I thought to myself. Me and Eren sat down on opposite sides of the couch. I scooted over a little closer to him, and tried to start a conversation.
"So, Eren, what do you do for fun?" I asked.
"I don't really have a lots of fun," He replied, "fighting I guess."
"Really?" I said, "Mikasa and I train in Karate as well as Taiquando. We're both first and second in both. I'm better at taiquando while Mikasa is better at Karate."
I felt as if I was rambling now so I quickly stopped. Then Mikasa came in with three glasses of juice. Dammit. I didn't have enough time.

Time skip: 7 O'clock

Mikasa P.O.V.

After leaving Annie's place with Eren, we walked home together. It was silent throughout, mainly because I was too nervous to talk to him. After taking different paths, I started to hate myself for not talking to him. Oh well, there's always more time.
