Chapter Fifteen- Ryan’s POV…
My phone buzzed, excusing me from the strictly come dancing final. My Anya loves that show, but to be honest it’s not really a guy thing, so my apa, Sammy, Ben and I all had to sit through it. Even Elle was groaning.
I pulled out my phone and saw a text from Mollie. Asking me to go to my apartment for a big surprise. So I took that as my opportunity to leave.
Walking to the door of my apartment a held my breath. I HATE surprises. With a passion. They aren’t always as good as people think they are. I turned the key slowly in the lock and silently pushed the door open. A strange sound was coming from my living room, like a baby crying. Oh my gosh, she left me a baby! What do I do with a baby? How would I look after it when I work?
I walked toward the source of the sound and found a young baby boy, cradled in the arms of Mollie. “Hey Babe, who’s this?” I asked confused.
“This is Jonah, Tess’s son. Shhhhh, I’m trying to get him back to sleep.”
“Sorry Doll. Why are you looking after Tess’s kid?”
“Tess brought Jonah to dinner because she has him most holidays, but then forgot that we usually go clubbing afterwards, and you can’t take a baby clubbing. So I volunteered myself because I can’t have a good night without you.”
“You gave up a night out, to babysit with me?”
“Yeah. I hope you don’t mind, I just can’t be alone in Tess’s house, it’s huge!”
“I love having you here Mollie. Infact I have an idea….”
“Do I want to hear it though?”
“It’s pretty hench.”
“Ry, please don’t say hench.”
“Doll, do you want to hear the idea or not?”
“Ermmm, I guess…”
“Seeing as I get lonely here all by myself, why don’t you move in on weekends? And then you can still see your friends, and I won’t be as worried about you going back to school, drunk out your mind and getting expelled.”
“What about Matron?”
“She’s leaving, and I’m taking her place. That’s what Mr Harrison was here about. Ms McBitchie is retiring, thank God, and on such short notice he can’t hire a new person. So he decided that since I am the only teacher that can control the year 13’s that I get the job.”
“You get a head of year job? That’s great!”
“You know, it means I get to give you a goodnight kiss every night. And you can leave on weekends; just get me to sign the form for you.”
“This is amazing.” She smiled brightly.
“There is another upside for me.” I smirked
“And what is that?”
“I can make sure that you don’t sneak into any boy’s dorm rooms. But seriously text me if you want to hold midnight meetings with your friends.”
“I will.” She smiled.
“Good, ‘cos then I can put your hot little ass in detention.” I smirked, making her blush.
“Please don’t put me in detention, you smell bad.”
“Is that really the best you could do?” I smiled down at her.
“Yeah. Can I put Jonah on your bed, he has nowhere to sleep.”
“Course.” I smiled following her into my room. As soon as she had put down a sleeping Jonah I pushed her gently against the wall, and pressed my body against hers so she couldn’t escape. “Do I still smell bad?” I whispered against her neck.
“Y-yes.”
“Are you sure Mollie?”
“N-no.” And then I kissed her with as much love as I could find in my body, her hands tangled in my hair, creating sparks wherever her hands touched. When we finally broke away, her breathing heavy, I heard her whisper quietly “You smell amazing, it’s almost intoxicating.”
