Bey's POV
I woke up in my bed at Kelly's house.

"She's awake," I heard Kelly say.

I looked to see Kelly getting up out of a chair and hugging me.

"I'm so happy. You're awake," she said to me.

"Us too," Kanye said as he and Tim walked into my room.

"Thanks guys. But where's Jay?," I asked.

"He went back to his house to get your things. He should be back any minute. He was worried sick about you. We had to find away to get him out of the house. He's gonna be so happy to when he gets back and sees that you're awake," Kelly said.

I smiled to myself.

I heard a knock downstairs at the front door.

"That must be him. Come on Kanye and Tim. Let's go let Jay in and give them some space," Kelly said as they left them room.

A couple of seconds later Jay came upstairs in my room.

"Bey, you're okay," he said relieved.

"Yeah. I heard you were worried about me," I told him.

He sighed and came over to me. He sat on my bed next to me.

"This is all my fault Bey," he said.

"No it's not Jay," I told him.

"Yes it is. If I hadn't gotten mad at you for telling me about Simone, I wouldn't have stormed off and gone to the beach. And then, Melinda wouldn't have shown up, you wouldn't have followed me there, and you wouldn't have gotten hurt," Jay apologized.

"It's alright Jay. I should've told you as soon as I found out about Simone. But I didn't. I continued to let her use you. I wasn't a good friend, and I'm sorry for what I said to you. I-," I rambled on before he cut me off by kissing me.

I kissed him back. I don't know why. It just felt right.

He pulled back all of a sudden.

"I'm sorry Bey. I-I didn't mean to do that. I don't know what came over me," he apologized.

"It's okay," I said.

"I should go. You need to rest. I'll see you at school tomorrow," he said hurriedly as he got up and left my room.

Kelly came upstairs soon after.

"What just happened with Jay? He just ran out of here like Roadrunner with Tim and Kanye," Kelly asked.

"Who's Roadrunner?," I asked her confused.

"I forgot. You're a mermaid. But what happened?," she asked again.

"Well, he came up here. He apologized. We talked. He kissed me and ran away. Well, I told you what happened. I think I'm gonna take a nap. I'm a little tired. You can close the door on your way out. Bye now," I said quickly so she wouldn't realize what I said.

"Wait. Back up. Say that again," she told me.

"I said I was about to take a nap and you can close the door behind you," I said trying to play dumb.

"No, before that," she said.

"I said Jay came up here and apologized," I told her.

"No, after that," she said.

"I already repeated that part. I said I was about to take a nap," I said.

"Okay then, just give me that middle part then," she told me.
