Jay's POV
"I have HIV," she said.

I didn't even know what to think.

"You have HIV?," I asked clarifying.

"Yes," she answered about to cry.

"When did you get HIV? While you were cheating on me or after we broke up?," I asked her hoping she said after we broke up.

"I don't know," she said tearing up.

"Simone, why are you such a fucking hoe? Like seriously, do you wake up in the morning and just think 'I'm gonna hoe around and get HIV and fuck up other people's lives and relationships.' Really Simone?," I said.

"I'm sorry Jay. I really am. I never meant for any of this to happen. I just wanted to have fun. I don't know if I got it from one of the guys that I had on the side or someone after you. I just wasn't thinking, and I'm sorry," she cried.

"Well, you not thinking could have given me and my girlfriend HIV!," I yelled at her.

"I'm sorry Jay. I really am," she continued.

"Sorry isn't gonna fix the gigantic mess you just caused. Just do me a favor and stay out of my life forever. You've already ruined it enough," I told her sternly as I walked out of the classroom.

Bey was waiting on me outside the door.

"What did she want to talk to you about?," Bey asked me.

How am I supposed to tell her that Simone has HIV, and she could've given it to me, and I could've given it to her?

"I'll tell you later. Let's just get to class," I told her.

"Oh, okay," she said.

I wrapped my arm around her waist as we walked the hallway together.

(After School)

Bey's POV
Jay and I walked out of the school and met up with Kelly, Tim, and Kanye.

"You ready to go home Bey?," Kelly asked me.

"Umm, I kinda wanted to stay with Jay again tonight," I told her.

"Oh, okay. That's cool," she said.

"Well, we'll see you guys tomorrow," Tim said.

"Bye," Kelly and Kanye said as they all walked away.

"Bye," Jay and I told them.

We got in his truck and went to his house. He was quiet and distant the entire ride.

I wonder what's wrong with him. It's probably whatever Simone said that's bothering him.

"Baby, are you okay?," I asked him.

He didn't answer. It was like he was deep in thought. Almost like a trance.

"Baby," I called again.

He still didn't say anything.

"Jay," I called for him.

"Huh?," he finally answered.

"Are you okay? I called you twice and you didn't answer. What are you thinking about?," I asked him.

"I'm fine," he told me.

"Are you sure? You seem a bit distracted," I asked.

"Yeah, I'm good," he said holding my hand trying to reassure me.

I know he's lying but I'll let it slide for now.

When we arrived at his house, he helped me out and also got our backpacks.
