A Royal Love: Royals of Solniana

Chapter one

-Serena's POV-

I walk in the hallway with Eric, my mate. We're on our way to the party that we're hosting to celebrate the birth of our son a few months ago. "Three children, I never thought that I would have so many." Eric says to me. "I love having a lot of children, they make me happy. Always when I look at them, I'll think of you." "And I'll think of you." He smiles at me. "I love you, my dear." "And I love you."

"You're so cute to look at." We stop walking and look at the man who said that to us. I smile at him. "Thank you." "Are you a guest of the party? Because only maids, servants and guards are allowed here. And you are clearly not a maid, servant or guard." Eric says to the man. "I am not a guest; I just came to look for you." "For us?" I ask him "Yes, I wanted to see you before it all ends."

Eric lets go of my hand –which he was holding the whole time- and walks closer to the man. "I think it's better that you leave. I don't want to call the guards." The man smiles at him. "You don't have to do that." He says and puts his hand in his pocket. "Well, goodbye my king." Eric looks confused at him. "Goodbye?" Suddenly the man takes his hand out of his pocket and throws dust at Eric. "Eric!" I yell. When the dust disappears, I don't see him anymore. I look at the man and he looks at me smiling.

I turn around and begin to run. I run as fast as I can to escape him. The man didn't expect me to run away, so I have a head start. Luckily I know the castle and he doesn't. When I finally reach the ballroom, I burst through the doors. "Guards! Help!" I yell while I run down the stairs to reach the centre of the room. Everyone looks immediately at me and the guards run to me. "What is wrong?" One of them asks. "An intruder!" I see the man on the top of the stairs thinking either to go down or stay upstairs. I point at the man and the guards all run towards him. The man starts to run, but is quickly tackled by one of the guards.

The guards take him to me. "What did he do, my queen?" A guard asks me. I look at the guard. "I-I don't know." I then look at the man. "What did you do to my mate!?" The crowd starts to talk to each other. While he smiles. "I teleported him away, to a place where you won't find him and he won't find you." "Where is he!?" "I won't tell you." I look at a guard. "Kill him." He bows. "Yes, my queen."

I walk towards a door. "The party is over, leave!" Everyone starts to leave and I walk through the hallways again. I keep walking until I reach a room. I enter the room and smile at my two children playing together with some toys. I walk to one of the cribs and look at my youngest child, sleeping peacefully.

After putting my children in their crib, I walk to the front gate of the castle. As I expected, there were a lot of citizens and press all curious to know what happened during the party. When I'm outside, they all look at me. I look at them. "I need to give you all some explanation. Firstly, the intruder took my mate away from me." I say looking down. I look back to the crowd, but show no emotion. "As you know, my mate and I didn't have an heir to the crown." The crowd looks very worried, but don't say anything. "But, there's hope." They all look hopeful now, but still stay quiet. "I would normally tell my mate tonight and you in a few weeks." I wait a little bit. "I'm pregnant." The crowd cheers loudly. I put my hand in the air and the crowd stops cheering immediately. "Without my mate, I won't live long enough to give birth to my last child. That's why I need your help. I don't know how, but we need to try."

A couple months later, I gave birth to daughter. Like always nobody is allowed to be in the same room with me during the childbirth. Well except my mate, but he isn't here anymore. I take my new baby in my arms after cleaning her. Her eyes are still closed like she's sleeping. I caress her cheek. "Hello, my little girl. Let's see if you're my heir." I kiss her forehead which makes her to open her eyes and reveal her bright blue eyes. I look deep in her eyes and she in mine. I smile when I see a golden shine in her eyes. I kiss her forehead again. "Looks like I finally have an heir."
