Chapter thirteen

"You kissed?" Jason ask me. "Yes, we did. But that's not why I'm mad at him." Rose answers him. "Then what did he do?" Lucy asks her. "Rose, please." I try again, but she ignores me. I look at Ella and see her looking at Rose. I don't want my siblings to know what happened between me and Rose. Especially Ella, I don't want her to see me differently or worse hate me.

I was patiently waiting in Jason's training room and stood up when the door opened. "I can't believe that you managed to drag me all the way here, for nothing." "That's where you're wrong, little bro. Someone wanted to talk to you." "Who?" "I do." I answer which makes them look at me. "Rose?" James asks confused. "I'm going to get changed, see you later." Jason says before walking out of the room.

"So you're why I needed to come with him to his training." James says looking at me. "Yes, I want to talk to you. About the day before yesterday." He walks to the door and closes it, then looks back at me. "The kiss." "Yes, so why did you leave?" He walks back to me. "You were fighting with Jason; I didn't want to see it." "Right, because you're against fighting." "Exactly." "James, I wanted to know if-" I start, but he puts his finger on my lips. "Let me try something." He says calmly and takes his finger of my lips. "Okay." I say to him. He leans in and kisses me and I kiss him back.

He stops kissing me and looks me in the eyes. "I wanted to know if it felt the same as the first time." I look him in the eyes. "And? Did it?" "Yes, it did." He answers. "Did it feel good?" "It did." He says leaning in again. I smile and we kiss.

We stop kissing when we hear walking in the corridor. The door opens and Jason walks in wearing his training outfit and with three bottles of water in his hands. "So, did stay away long enough?" He says walking towards us. "You could stay away a bit longer." I say to him. "I stayed away long enough. I even went to the cafeteria to buy us water! If you still need to talk then you have to do it with me here or somewhere else."

I look at James and then back to Jason. "Then we're going." "We are?" James asks me. "Yes, we are." I answer him. "Where are you going?" Jason ask me. "I don't know yet, but I'll know when we get there." "Jason looks at James. "Don't stay out too late, I don't want mom to worry." "I won't, don't worry." James answers. "Come on, let's go." I say to him and walk out of the room.

We walk through the corridor, looking for an empty room. "Here is one, come on." I say to him and open the door with my key. When we're both inside, I close the door. When I turn around to look at James, he was already close to me. I smile at him and kiss him.

After a while, I push him away slightly. "What's wrong?" He asks. "I was wondering, what do we say to everyone? My parents are never going to believe that I kissed you. Nobody will, they all think that I have a crush on Jason." "They do?" He asks confused to which I nod.

"You can't tell anyone." "What? Why?" "I just don't want anyone to know it yet." "Why?" I ask crossing my arms. "If you tell someone, then they are going to tell someone else and then they are telling other people. Eventually everybody would know." "Why is that bad?" "Because once everyone knows it, they all want to be friends with you and they won't leave you alone." "They wouldn't..." "They would, Garrett told us. They follow him to his house, he's never alone. Only when he's at the castle, because nobody is allowed in except for workers, my family and Garrett." "He's never alone?" "Never."

"I just don't like lying to my parents." "I know; I don't like lying either. But it is to protect you and them that you need to lie. Besides, which parent wouldn't want to brag about their daughter who has won the heart of a prince?" "Have I won your heart?" I ask smiling at him. "Yes, you have." "Well, you have won mine." I say to him to which he response by kissing me again.

"That was the day that we started our relationship." Rose tells them. "Oh wow, so I helped you? But I didn't know?" Jason asks amazed. "Yes, you did. I'm still very grateful for that." She says smiling to him. "Can you let me go now?" I ask her, hoping that she would let me go now that she's in a good mood again. "No!" She yells and uses her power to cover my mouth with plants. I sigh deeply. "I still have to say why I want to kill you." She says angrily and then looks back at my siblings.

A few months later, we still didn't tell anyone. But we were very happy. One night, when my parents weren't home, I heard the doorbell. When I opened the door, I was surprised to see James there. "James? What are you doing here?" "Can I come in?" "Uh, yeah sure." I say moving out of the way. He walks in and I close the door.

"This hoodie is very warm." He says while he takes it off. "Then why are you wearing it?" "Nobody can know that I'm here." "Right, but why are you here?" "I just needed to get away from the castle." He says while walking to the living room.

"Aren't your parents home?" "No, they aren't." I say following him. He looks at me, smiling. "So, we're alone?" I smile back at him. "Yes, we are." He walks to me, still smiling. "Good." He says before leaning in. I lean in too and we kiss. He pulls me closer to him and we deepen the kiss.

When I open my eyes, I feel amazing and I smile very wide. When I turn around, my smile disappears. "James?" I sit up and put on James's t-shirt from last night. I stand up and go downstairs.

"James?" I hear noise from inside the kitchen, so I walk to it. When I enter the kitchen, I see James with his back towards me. "What are you doing?" He turns around and smiles. "I'm making breakfast, I wanted to surprise you, but here you are." "That's sweet." "Is that my t-shirt?" He asks me. "Yes, it is." I say smiling and sit down. "And why are you wearing it?" "I just wanted to wear it. What are you making?" "Fried eggs with bacon." "That sounds prefect." "Good, because it's ready." He says and walks to me with two plates.

"Thanks." I say and take a bite. "This is good!" He smiles at me. "Did you think that it would be horrible?" "Yes, actually. But you can't blame me, you never cook in the castle." "No, I don't." "Then how do you know how to cook?" "Firstly, fried eggs and bacon aren't that hard to make. Secondly, I used to cook with my best friend a few years ago." He says suddenly sad. "You used to? Why don't you do it anymore?" "I-I..." He starts but stops.

"About last night..." He says, changing the subject. "Can you keep it a secret too?" "James, we can't keep that a secret. We need to tell it." "No, please wait. I just need some time to tell my family." I sigh deeply. "Okay, I won't tell." He smiles. "Thanks."

He left after eating his breakfast. That afternoon I had a training with James. I waited for him, but he didn't come. The next training, he didn't come either. After a whole month, he still didn't come. When I was waiting for him one day, the door opened. "Rose? What are you doing here?" Cayden, the teacher of Jason and I, asks me. "I'm waiting for James." "You don't know?" "What?" "What happened in the castle." "Did something happen?" "Weird, I thought that you and Jason were close friends."

"What happened?" "There was an intruder in the castle. He wanted to kill princess Mirella." "Oh no! Is she alright?" "Yes, the queen saved her." "Good." "But she died when she saved princess Mirella." "She is dead? So, that means that Mirella is going to be our new queen?" "Yes, if they find her. Her mother teleported her away to safe her." "And the others?" "Jason killed the intruder and James tried to heal their mother, but he didn't succeed. After that they left." "Left?" "Yes, Garrett, Lucinda's mate, he teleported them to another planet to find their sister."

"A couple days later, I finally found Garrett and I asked him to teleport me to here. Now you know why I want to kill James." Rose says to them. She then looks at me and removes the plants that are around me. "You two have mated!?" Jason asks me. "And you never told anyone? You did ruin her life!" Lucy yells to me. "No, listen-" I start but Ella interrupts me. "How could you be so cruel?" She asks sounding disgusted. "Ella. Please." I say walking to her. She steps back which makes me stop. I look at her, but she looks away. I sigh deeply and then teleport away.
