Chapter eleven

When we appeared, Lucy walks to us. "Okay, spill it." "What?" "You're in love with her, aren't you?" "Can I ask you a question?" Maria asks us which makes us look at her and Ella and James walk towards us. "Why did I know exactly where you were?" She asks me. "I don't know." "How did you know it?" Lucy asks. "I saw a silver line on the ground, so I followed it." "You saw a line? On the ground?" I ask her. "Yes, I know, it sounds a bit weird." "It doesn't sound just weird, it is weird." James replies.

"That line shows you where you can find your loved one." We all look to where the voice is from and see Ella with white hair and eyes. "Serea." Lucy says amazed. Lucy, James and I bow to her. "Who?" Maria asks looking at her. Serea looks at her. "My name is Serea, I am the creator of Solniana. I decide what happens in the lives of those who are from Solniana. I decide who gets born and who dies. I decide who becomes the leader of Solniana."

"But I'm not from Solniana, so why can I see that line?" "You are not from Solniana, but Jason is. The moment you kissed him and he accepted it in his powerful form, I gave you the ability to see where he is. Just like any other creature can on Solniana." "But that would mean that I can see where Garrett is, but I've never seen any line." "You have the ability; you just never knew it. You have other powers that you only use when you want to, so you can see the line when you want to. Of course not when you are on another planet." "Then I can see a line too?" I ask her. "Yes you can, if you want to see it."

She then looks at Maria. "I just came to help you understand your power to find Jason, I must go now." "Wait!" "What is it?" "Why did you gave me that power? I'm just an ordinary earthling." She smiles. "I gave it to you because you deserve it. Just like everyone who falls in love with someone on Solniana. And believe me, you are not ordinary." She closes her eyes and we see Ella's hair turning back blonde. When she opens her eyes, we see her blue eyes. "Are you alright?" James asks her worried. "I'm fine."

Lucy looks back to Maria and me. "So, you've kissed?" "Yes, we did. Do you have a problem with that?" "No, not at all." "Good." "Just don't forget that you'll have to leave someday." She says walking away.

-Ella's POV-

"I saw what happened on the television. I didn't see that coming. I always saw James as a peaceful person." Ryan says walking towards me. I smile at him. "He is; you just don't have to make him angry." "I don't think that anybody will try to make him angry ever again." He says sitting next to me under a tree. "Don't you have to work today?" "Nope, I don't." "And you're spending this day with a bunch of murderers?" I ask him smiling. "No, I'm spending my day with an amazing woman and her family" "That's sweet." I say looking away smiling.

"So, Jason has a girlfriend now?" He asks looking at Jason and Maria. "Yes, I'm happy for them. Jason is really happy, that makes me happy." "You're an amazing sister." I smile at him in respond and look then back at Jason. "Ella?" I look at him, still smiling. "When are you going to leave?" I stop smiling and look down. "I don't know." "It's just that..." He starts, but stops. I look back at him. "I really, really like spending time with you." I smile at him. "I like spending time with you too."

"When you leave, I'd still have Jack, but he doesn't know how it feels..." He says looking down. "How what feels?" I ask him starting to get worried. "To be alone." "I'm not alone. I have my brothers and sister." "Yes, I know that. But you're different from them." "Different?" "Yes, even when you're with them, you're alone." "I'm not." "Yes, you are. When I came here, they were there and you were here. Sitting under this tree, alone." "I'm alone, because I asked to be alone."

"Why? Are you unwell?" He asks sounding worried. I smile at him. "I'm fine, don't worry. I just used a lot of power." "Why? Was someone attacking you?" He asks, still worried. "No, Serea used my body to contact Maria." "Your supreme ruler?" "Yes, as heir of the throne, I can let her take my body to contact someone." "Wow, that must be weird to see. How did it feel?" "It felt very good. I felt safe, like I didn't have any worries."

"Do you have that many worries?" "Yes of course! When we go back home, I'll be queen. I don't know anything about being a queen." "You don't? Didn't your mother tell you what you have to do?" "No, in Solniana, the new queen needs to learn everything about being a queen when she's queen." "Why?" "That way the new queen is leading the planet, like she thinks it needs to. It's the best way for the people to get to know their new queen."

Suddenly, an animal runs to us. I stand up and walk towards her. "She's pretty." Lucy says walking towards her with James, Jason and Maria. "That's a deer." Ryan says next to me. "She's afraid." I say and put my hand on her head. "Normally they don't come this close, especially a female." Ryan says looking at her. "Why?" Jason asks him. "They are hunted by humans, so when they hear or see one, they flee." He answers. "And a female usually stays with the herd." Maria continues. "But why is she here? Alone?" I ask them.

"Where is it? We need to find it!" We hear coming from the bushes. The deer becomes more afraid and hides behind us. We look at the bushes and see a man and woman. The man is carrying a camera. They immediately stop walking when they see us. "Were you looking for her?" Lucy asks them pointing at the deer. The man and woman look at the deer and nod.

"What were you doing with her?" Jason asks them. "W-We were filming her." The man answers. "Why?" I ask them. "A nature documentary." The woman answers. "What is that?" I ask Ryan. "That's a movie that shows the life of something, theirs shows the life of deer." He answers. "The viewers learn more about the life of the deer." Maria continues. "Then I don't understand why she's afraid of them. They aren't hurting her." Jason says looking at us. I look at the man and woman and see them relax. I look back at the deer. "Why are you so afraid?" She looks back at me.

I look back at everyone. "Did she tell you why she's afraid?" Lucy asks me. "Yes, she did. She's pregnant." "Oh cute!" Maria says smiling very wide and closing her eyes. Jason looks at her smiling. "What did you do to her that she's this afraid of you?" I ask them while walking to them. "We-We just followed her for a couple days." The man answers. "Yes, we didn't touch her or hurt her." The woman continues. "But you kept following her like she was your prey! How can she feel safe when keep following her!" I yell at them. They both take a few steps back, afraid. "Now you know how it feels!" I yell, still angry.

"Ella." Ryan says calmly while walking to me. He stops walking when he's next to me. "Ella, calm down. They probably didn't know that she was pregnant." I look at the man and woman. "Did you know?" They both shake their head afraid. "See, they didn't." Ryan says to me. "I know but-" I start, but he interrupts me. "They didn't know, Ella. Nobody knows everything, even you. I need to explain a lot to you too." "But they live here, I don't." "That's no excuse. I didn't know that the deer was pregnant either. Are you mad at me now too?" "I-I..." I start, but stop and look down. "That's what I thought." He says to me. "You can go now." He says to the man and woman which makes me look at them. They look at me for a while and then run away.
