23. Confessions

Kun's POV
After a while, Ail said, "Thank you Kun, for being my knight in shining armor, for never leaving me alone, for always being there by my side, for protecting me and for being here."

"Well. That was a good compliment but nothing new. Next time remember to thank me for being so hot and hansome too." I said.

"You will never change." Ail said.

"Why? Do you want me to?" I asked.

"No I don't. Mr. Grumpy Kunsang Tamang is the best." Ail said.

"I am not grumpy. But at least you accepted that I am the best. I am proud of you." I said.

"Hmm. You made me think. Are you actually the best?" Ail questioned.

"You don't have to think. I am the best." I said.

"Too much pride Kunsang. Too much pride." She said.

"That is called self respect, if you don't know Ailina." I said.

"I guess that is the first time you called me by my name." She told me.

"Why? Do you like it?" I asked.

"Nah. I hate it." She said.

"So what should I call you? Princess, sunshine, star or beauty?" I questioned.

"Ail is still the best." I said.

"As your wish Ail. Happy now?" I said.

"Stop." Ail said sharply.

"What happened Ail?" I asked.

"I have to say something." Ail said.

"Go ahead." I said.

"Um. The thing is, I think I like you." She said.

Ail's POV
I finally told it. It was now or never. "Whenever you are near, I feel happy. You seem to let me show you my side of me that isn't so pretty. You make me smile. You make me feel butterflies in my tummy. My heart beats louder when you are near."

He stood there quietly. His silence only meant one thing. It was a 'no'. He didn't like me the way I liked him. He couldn't love me. He couldn't look at me the way I looked at him.

And it hurt.

Trying to be brave, with tears in my eyes, I said, "It's okay if you don't like me. Feelings can't be..."

He cut me off. He put his fingers on my lips and said "Miss Ailina. Will you be my girlfriend? The Princess that I dream of?"

Tears of happiness ran down my face. I couldn't be happy. I nodded my head and said, "Yes I will."

And then he pulled me close and gave me a deep kiss. For a moment I was surprised but then I kissed him back. The taste of his lips was too good. His kiss was warm, soft and comforting.

Finally we pulled off for bredth.

"I am sorry if it was too surprising and sudden." Kun said blushing.

"Kisses are never planned." I said "And you look good while blushing."

This made him blush even more. "Are you kidding me? I don't blush."

"Good liar. You should lie properly at least." I said.

"Jeez. From today you are oficially my girlfriend so remember that I will be posessive." Kun said.

"I will like that." I said.

"Now hold my hands and walk with me." Kun said, giving me his hands.
