Chapter 7. Road trip

 I was waiting outside my house because Caden just call me saying he will be here in 5 minutes. I don't know where we are heading so I pack some summer clothes and one sweat shirt. I don't want to take chance as in Berkeley it's not that cold as here it rarely snow. But don't know about the weather of that place we will be going.

Yesterday, After reaching home I called Rachel and explain both Nolan and Caden things. First she was angry but later she let it go. I ask her about this trip she agreed without any hesitation and asked me if she could bring Josh too. I asked Caden about Josh and he replied saying he won't mind. And I text Rachel it's ok to bring Josh and give him Caden number so she could ask for direction and all. Kelly and Sandy also said yes. So, Rachel, Josh, Kelly and Sandy will head there in Rachel's car. When I called Rachel to make sure if she is ready, she said me they are already on the road.

Within the said time Caden car stopped by me. Nolan open the back seat and came out smiling at me. He was looking so handsome in his dark jeans and plain Shirt. “Good morning Adrina. You are looking so beautiful “he said to me and my heart skips a beat.” Good morning to you too “I said blushing. Nolan chuckle and helps me with my bag and put it at backside of car. "Thanks” I said him to which he smile and said “No problem"

And he gets into the car and opens the door for me. When I enter the car I found two new faces. One was a guy, he is pretty hot but Nolan is hotter with tanned skin, brown eyes and black hair sitting beside Nolan. Another one was a girl in passenger sit with Caden who was gorgeous with her ocean blue eyes, long brown hair like mine and pale white skin. She seems to be younger than us.

 Seeing my confusion Caden said" Good morning! And This is Macy and that is Lucas our friends”. And I said “Nice to meet you Macy and Lucas" turning toward both of them and smiling and " Good morning to you too Caden “and he nod his head not looking at me as he was driving. 

“Nice to meet you too Adrina right" asked Macy looking at me, there was something in her eye when she look at me but anyway smile at me. I also smile and nod at her." Hello! Beautiful “said Lucas taking my hand and kissing it. To which Nolan got angry and he just grabs my hand from Lucas hold and put them to my side which makes me blush for second time by Nolan." Chill man! I was just admiring the beauty “Lucas tries to reason but Nolan just sits grumpily without answering.

 When Nolan gets angry he is hotter I couldn’t stop thinking about him while I’m being so close to him like right now. And I turned around so I was facing window and stared seeing the views. After sometime I turned and asked" Where are we going?"  To which all of them chuckle and Lucas beat all of them by saying “So you don't know where you going" I shake my head and he said again” We are going to nearby park in Redding"

“It takes 3 hr to reach there “I replied shocked to which Nolan speak this time “No babes it take 3 and half hour to reach where we are going”. When was I his babes anyway? I was about to say that to him but Macy asked me " Did you make any decision whether you will marry Caden or not" in harsh tone. I was surprised by that tone of her and the car was total silence beside small sound of car engine.

“I don't know yet. My parent forced me into this. But I'm still confused." I said truth to her. I don't know but there was something in her eyes that make me say that. Hearing my answer Both Nolan and Macy were relieved, I don't know but why? No one says anything so I again turned back to window and continue watching outside.

While we were moving Nolan and mine thighs were brushing one another which make my body tingle all the time they brush. Ignoring that sensation I try to lean my head to seat to find someone hand lying there which belong to Nolan. He looked at me with something in his eyes which made me jerk up my head from his forearm and faced window again.

Macy started to play radio as the was silence. Without realizing hearing those soothing music and silence in the car my eye lid start to close and I fell in sleep.

Someone was tucking my hair to my ear which made me open my eyes to find out grey eyes staring at me.” Are you done sleeping” He asked with amusement in his eyes “Yeah” I replied hoarsely as I just woke up.” Do you want to have something as everyone is out to grab some food?” he asked and my stomach replied him growling loudly.

I feel embarrassed and try to cover my face in his warm chest which was vibrating as he was chuckling in my dismay.” Let’s go feed your growling monster” he said opening the car. Without saying anything I went out of the car leaving his body which make my boby cold all of the sudden.

When we went out side by side and spotted three friends sitting in the table may be waiting for their order. When they spotted us they smile at us and we did the same.” Hello! Did you complete your beauty sleep “asked Lucas pointing to the chair next to him.” Yeah! For today” I try to mock sitting in same chair he was pointing. And Nolan grabs the chair from another table and seat beside me.

“We just order hamburger and cola for you two. Is that ok?” asked Caden “It’s alright” we said at the same time. “If you don’t want to marry this prick then you can come to me” Lucas try to flirt with me to that I also flirt back “I was always thinking of finding someone if I make the decision not marry Caden. As you are suggesting yourself ….” hanging the sentence there.” So you will choose me” he asked looking hopeful and I said “I will go out with that boy who has crush on me” I said  gesture like thinking to which all started to burst out laughing but Lucas was stunned.

“I was not expecting that answer. You are not what you look like” he said not believing his eyes.” What do you mean?” I said mocking hurt. “No not like that I was expecting you as some chick who is shy and all. But I see you can joke. We can be great friends” he said offering his hand to me.” Sure “I said smiling and shaking his offering hand. While we were talking and others were just looking at us without saying anything.

Nolan was looking angry and glaring at Lucas side who just shrug it off. While Caden put his hand on Nolan shoulders and they talk something through their eyes which I quite didn’t get. In a meantime our food came and we all started to have food. After sometime “Are you all finished” asked Caden. We all nod at him as we were already done and he said again” let’s get gong then” and we all start to get up from table.

Suddenly, Nolan grabs my wrist and pulls me to his chest. And I was shocked he slowly brings his thump toward my lips and wipes ketchup which I didn’t realize was there and lick his thump. This gesture made me want to kiss those lips. He realizes I was staring at his lips which made him smirk. “Common let’s go. Otherwise we will be stuck here” he said dragging me to the car.

Where Lucas was trying to make me sit in between so he could talk to me nicely. But Nolan stop me and take seat beside Lucas and turned my side and smile saying “Come sit fast. We are getting late”. Not understanding his thinking anyway I took seat beside Nolan and we all head toward our destination. But this time we all were joking and screaming while Macy remain silence.
