Chapter 26: Sharing bed with the witch

 “Where? ” I asked as soon as those words left his mouth.

“Umm… I was thinking to my home town for today and…,” he paused making sure I’m ok with that; I just raised my eyebrow so he continues, “think of some place later after the rest; I know you are tired.”

“Ok,” I shrug at him. It is a good idea I’m dead tired from all those drama. And it’s freaking three in the morning.

When I look at him, he was raising his eyebrow for me to continue. So I did adding, “It’s freaking three in the morning, you and me, we both are tired so take some rest,” with a little smile.

We were not far from there so we reach there in five minutes. Nolan was driving to some motel nearby. Suddenly, a figure runs in front of our car. Nolan immediately put the car in to halts and rush out to check the person who almost got hit by our car.

I also walk out after him. I found that person is girl and realized that’s the girl I don’t want to meet again, which Cathy. I scrunch my nose seeing her.

“Oh! Cathy, are you ok?”

“What are you doing here Nolan this late?” 

Nolan and Cathy said at same time and both burst out laughing. I just roll my eyes at them.

“Yeah I’m ok,” Cathy replied flattering her eyelashes.

“Thank god. Let me help you,” Nolan replied giving his hand to help her get up.

“Thanks,” she said dusting her clothes. “By the way you didn’t answer my earlier question,” she added smiling at him.

Before he could replied I butted in, “We were on a date and I want to visit hometown again so we are here,” with a shrug.

“Like at this hour,” she said making her eyes popped.

“Yeah! Its fun,” I said smirking at her.

She glares at me and turn to Nolan ignoring me. Nolan was looking at me weirdly.

“So where are you going now?” she asked Nolan.

“As it’s late we are going to motel nearby,” he replied casually.

“What?” she yelled at him which make me gasp. And she continues, “Coming here and staying in some kind of motel. You must be kidding right.”

Geez! She is so dramatic. But the word that said next make me burst out laughing but I control somehow; still my body was shaking. “Not at all; why did you think that,” with innocent look on his face.

The look on her face was priceless. She immediately gets out of shock and said with straight face, “I mean you could have informed us or come over to our house.”

Nolan eyes widen at this, “Yeah but I didn’t want to disturb you guys,” replied with sheepish smile.

She grins taking Nolan arms “Now let’s go then. You will not disturb us,” dragging him along completely ignoring me.

She is getting on my nerve now. I feel like pulling hair out make completely bald; imagining her bald make me smile even I’m angry.

Nolan halts her and turns to me and pulls me to him warping his arm around my waist. “Let’s get going and have some rest,” he whisper in my ear.

We get into his car and from rear view mirror I could see Cathy burning hole in head with glare but didn’t say her anything.

Within few minutes we pull into this old two storey house. We all get to the front door after putting the car in garage. Cathy took out keys from her bag and starts to unlocked her front door. As soon as door opened we marched inside her house which was dark. So, Cathy turns on the light; we were in living room. The room was small as dining table was also located in this room makes it looks more smaller.
