Chapter 25: You mean world to me

“WHAT?” came the Nolan’s answer.

I just role my eyes even he couldn’t see. I clearly said to run away which part he didn’t get I’m confused. So just repeat my last phrase “Let’s run away.”

“But – But Adrina, why?” he asked again. I was about to open my mouth he quickly added, “What happened after I left that lead you to ‘run away’ as option,” as if I’m out my mind. But he is not wrong though.

Anyway I replied him saying “I’m fully sane. Don’t worry. After you went mom kind of ground me an….,” he didn’t let me finish my sentence.

“You are grounded,” he yelled on the other side of the phone.

“Yes Mr. obvious- I’m grounded, nice now you know,” I said gritting my teeth. Sarcasm is dripping from my every word.

“But that’s not the quite relevant to run away,” he said sighing.

“Yeah I know! I’m not running because my mom ground me. I running because she said me to stop meeting you,” I yelled at him.

“I-I- but- we can talk to them after they cool down. They are angry now,” he said calmly.

How can he be so cool about? Because he doesn’t know my mom; came the answer from my inner mind. And I voice my thought, “You are saying this because you don’t know my mom. She will mean it when she says something.”

“Ok I got it! But it’s not right to run away,” he tries to change my mind.

But I’m determining to run so he can’t change it now. So I said “I see. You also don’t want to be with me; I got it,” with that I hung up the phone and threw it in my bed furiously.

After few seconds my phone rang again. But I completely ignored it. And start to blow my hair dry. After buzzing for fifteenth time I pick up the call.

“What you want now?” I shout at him.

“Fine,” he shouts at me like I did to him.

“Huh…,” I asked confused.

“Ok let’s run away,” he said in irritated voice.

“Really,” came my voice. It’s unbelievable that he finally agrees with me.

“Although it’s not right things to do; but running makes you happy plus you think I care about you then; do it,” he said as if earlier we weren’t fighting like crazy. May be I was acting like crazy but I was furious.

“Ok I will pack my things and you do the same. And meet me after an hour. But wait for me five minutes away from my house,” I warned him. If incase my parents woke up and all.

“Ok fine,” he said and hung the phone.

I just roll my eyes at his behavior. And start packing some clothes toiletries and other necessity thing in my duffle bag. I also put some money I had saved and start changing into skinny jean and blue tops.

I checked everything I need once more to make sure. And wait for fifteen minutes to sneak out of my home.

I’m sneaking out of my home like some thief; making sure I don’t make any noise. I went to the kitchen counter to take out note and write down one so they wouldn’t police report as me missing. I wrote saying I’m running away so don’t search me. When I think you are cool down. I’ll be back. Love you both guys!

And I skip out of my house. I frequently turn around to make sure they were following me. When I see Nolan’s car; I rush inside the car. As soon as Nolan sees me; he opened the passenger sit for me. I threw my duffle bag at the back seat; and start to steady my breath.
