Everybody always said that I had the prettiest colored eyes.
Hazel with gold flecks.
And I would always agree.
But then I saw yours.
You always said they were just plain chocolate.
You lied.
They were copper, with amber and ocher rings,
You always said they were so dull and you wished to change them.
But, again, you lie.
Didn't you know how they mirrored sparks when you talked to me?
Didn't you know your eyes are a galaxy of changing shades?
I would get lost in your eyes,
I was determined to catch the exact moment when they changed from ocher to mahogany
And that might take forever, and I was okay with that.
