Chapter 20

 Jonghyun had a plan forming in his mind. Well sort of. The plan seems kind of childish actually.

But it was the first step to her getting what she needed and that's all he wanted.

"Oppa? where are we going?" Nick asked from the passenger seat, she was giving him a weird look. Jonghyun couldn't stop himself thinking about her. He loves her so much and now that she's his, Jonghyun made a promise to protect her with everything in his power.

"You're coming with me somewhere." Jonghyun replied keeping his eyes on the road. In his miind he was still thinking of his plan. Of course her parents wouldn't really want it to happen.....

"Hyung! Not this way! Don't tell me...." Nick pleaded turning to Jonghyun with a scared look on her face. Jonghyun ignored it and continued driving, Hachiro industries was a huge business building in the centre of Seoul. It was intimidating to even look at! It made Jonghyun confused as to why Nick would become an idol when she could own such a successful business like this one. Jonghyun parked the car in the car park and got out, he walked around the front to open the door to let his girlfriend out.

But she locked the door. She was looking at something behind him.

"Nick, stop being silly. Open the door."

"Not gonna happen."

"Nick you have to let them know some way or another!" Jonghyun still attempted to open the door by pulling on the handle. He sighed tiredly.

"Yeahhhh...... Not gonna happen."

"Is there a problem here?" a man in his mid forties asked. He was wearing a black expensive looking suit and a briefcase in one hand. He had a kind face and a twinkle in his eye. Jonghyun suddenly wished silently that her father was as kind as he was....

"Oh... no.... my friend just won't get out of the car." Jonghyun replied with an embarrassed smile. The man chuckled and looked in the car. His eyes widened.

The name that left his lips though...

"Nicole!?"

Nicole? Jonghyun furrowed his eyebrows. Who's... oh..... he remembered how people in the neighbourhood used to call her Nicole.

"Er....."

"Young lady come out of that car right now!" The man said dropping his suitcase to open the door. Jonghyun stepped forward to stop him.

'I've already tried that. She's scared of meeting her parents."

"Why would she be scared of seeing me?" the man asked, confusion clear in his voice. Jonghyun suddenly realised who this person was and froze awkwardly. He was talking to his girlfriend's dad for a good thirty seconds and he hasn't even introduced himself!

"Hello sir, My name is Kim Jonghyun. I'm from Shinee. I'm currently dating Nicole." Jonghyun said as politely as he could. Nick watched her boyfriend with confusion and a new interest. Nick's father raised an eyebrow confused but then smiled.

"You're her new boyfriend?"

"Yes sir."

"Didn't you used to live in the same neighbourhood as her?"

"Errr Ne..."

'Well at least you care. Why did you bring her here?"

"Because its about something that's happened in her past. This thing.... it's been eating her up since she was ten. And she never told you. I figured if I brought her to you, she wouldn't feel so bad about herself-" Jonghyun was suddenly babbling again in front of her father. He was nervous, Nick could tell. He was probably thinking that Jonghyun was hyper or something.
