We spent the rest of the day exploring the resort and the island. It is so amazing around here. Palm trees line every road, everyone around here are all so happy. The water is a beautiful crystal blue and really clear. It just amazing. Harry insists that we go scuba-diving sometime during the holiday, but I refuse. I’m not the biggest fan of the ocean. The deepness and the unknown scares me. Also the marine animals that lurk below.
It’s a bout 6.00pm and Mum and William call it a night, saying they will eat in. But Harry insists on taking me out for dinner, which is really sweet. So we quickly make our way back to our room so I can change into something nicer than shorts and a baggy shirt.
“Be quick.” Harry orders as soon as we walk into our room.
“Just because you said that, I’m going to take longer.” I sass back. He sighs deeply before taking a seat on the couch. I take out my favourite floral dress and sandals. I decided not to go with a jacket considering it’s still really hot outside. I touched up my face by adding a bit of powder and some mascara. Then I re-did my hair into more of a neater bun. I smile at my appearance in the mirror before meeting Harry in the lounge room.
“Ready?” Harry smiles scanning my outfit.
“Yeah.” I reply blushing under his gaze.
“Let’s go beautiful.” Harry enthuses as he pulls my hand into his.
Harry leads me out of the resort towards a nice fancy Italian restaurant on the corner of the street. There are quite a few people here, and I’m not usually the one for crowds but Harry insisted this was the best restaurant around, so I took his word.
“Table for 2.” Harry said at the worker at the door.
“Right this way.” He replied before leading us to the back of the room into a small booth.
“Your waitress will be right out.” He smiled handing us the menus.
“Thanks.” I smile back trying to be polite.
I scan over the menu as does Harry before a short brunette stands in front of our table.
“Can I get you any drinks?” She asks politely.
“I will have a coke.” Harry replies and looks at me for my order.
“Lemonade please.” I smile to the waitress. She writes down our order and takes off.
“Lemonade?” Harry laughs.
“Yeah?” I say curiously.
“So boring.” He smirks.
“Excuse me?” I ask again. Boring? I don’t know if I should be offended or not. I don’t want to make a big deal out of my drink choice.
“It’s just you could have had any drink.”
“And I chose Lemonade. Because it’s my favourite.” I bite.
“Alright, alright. You don’t need to get all defensive.” Harry barks.
“I’m not. I’m just saying you don’t need to bag me cause of my drink choice.” Are we really arguing over me ordering a lemonade? It wasn’t just that though he called me boring. Or did he call my drink boring? Either way I’m a bit offended even though I might be overreacting.
“Mia chill out your being a-…” Harry stops himself quickly.
“Being a what Harry?” I raise my voice. He’s really getting on my nerves now.
“Nothing.” He mumbles.
“No, tell me” I push it further. I really do want to know what he was going to say.
