“So Harry, what are your intentions with my daughter?” Mum questions.
Oh no, really mum!
“Mum!” I squeal, giving her my biggest glare.
I can hear Harry’s deep laugh next to me.
“What? I need to make sure he’s not going to hurt you!” Mum glares back.
Oh my god, I knew she would do this.
“I have no intentions on hurting your daughter at all, I love her and I just want to be there for her.” Harry surprises me by answering.
William is also pretty surprised by his answer.
“Good answer.” Mum laughs.
I can feel my cheeks going bright red, why did she have to do that! This dinner is already getting awkward and we haven’t even started eating yet. I place my head in my hands hiding my shame. I feel Harrys warm hand land on my thigh which causes me to jump a bit. I look over at harry who’s trying to hold back a laugh. I guess I’m still not use to him touching me and stuff. His hand slowly rubs up and down my thigh silently telling me it’s okay.
William leaves the room a couple minutes later to get dinner from the kitchen. We are having roast beef with vegetables and potatoes. It looked absolutely delicious! William re-took his seat and we all started to dig in. Harry managed to keep his hand on my thigh the whole time though.
“So what have you got planned for the summer break?” William asks mum.
“I think I’m working for most of the time but I have 2 weeks off.” Mum smiles.
“That’s great, maybe we can all go on a trip?” William suggests.
Oh no, I don’t think that’s going to end very well.
“That sounds like a great idea!” Mum squeals.
She’s never been so excited about something before. Harry and I share a worried look before looking back at our parents.
“Don’t you think Mia?” Mum asks.
“Ah, yeah sure. I guess.” I smile back.
Crap. I can already see this going badly.
“How many more days to summer break?” Mum questions me.
“6 days” I grin.
I can’t wait till summer break! It was my favourite time of the year, even though I don’t think I have a bikini body, I like to tan and sit out in the hot weather. We always get the best weather here in Australia for summer so I was super excited! I also like it because there’s no school. Let me tell you, I’m so sick of school lately. There’s so much work and stress put on us. Summer break was just the best time of the year.
“Counting down the days are we?” Harry smirks turning to face me.
“Summer break is my favourite time of the year.” I laugh.
“Of course it is.” Harry smiles.
What was that supposed to mean? No really, I don’t understand? I brushed off his comment because I will probably look like an idiot not understanding.
“I will be back.” I excuse myself from the table.
Oh wait, where the hell was the bathroom again?
“Ummm, where is the bathroom?” I ask politely.
“The end of the hallway on the left.” William smiles.
