March, 2012.

"Your mission is Captain Steven Grant Rogers, I want you to find and kill him."

We weren't given a time frame. We only had to find him and take his life like we had done so many times before.

But now, my mind was going crazy. I'd seen Steve, and all of the memories came rushing back. Brooklyn, the army...

My sister.

I kept my eye on her the whole time as she dodged another shot from the woman with red hair.

I'd seen her before too. Not sure I would ever remember where. But I had.

It didn't bother me when my mask came off. I made sure Y/N was okay before I turned around to meet Steve's eyes.

"Bucky?" He murmured, disengaging.

Who was Bucky?

"Who the hell is Bucky?" Y/N ran towards me, her scared eyes wide as a bomb went off after her.

I grabbed her and we disappeared.

Found.

Steve P.O.V.

"It was him. I'm positive."

"Then who was the girl?" I thought for a moment. It couldn't be Y/N, could it?

"His twin sister. She fell off the train seconds before Bucky lost his grip and slipped. They captured her after they captured him, during the war. They must've experimented on both of them."

"How're they still alive then?" I knew Natasha knew about them both. Bucky's why she's got a scar through her abdomen, and Y/N's part of the reason for her PTSD.

"I haven't figured that out yet." Steve sighed, taking his seat.

His best friends were back.

Now he had to get them back.

I never understood why I had to strip to get my memories taken.

James and I were still in chairs across from each other, barely paying any attention to our surroundings.

I kept thinking of the man we saw on the bridge. How everything felt like it made sense when I looked at him.

Like I'd stared into his blue eyes so many times before.

"Mission Report." The words were faded, barely reaching my ears. I was too out of it. Too confused.

"Unsuccessful." I answered quickly as James recovered. I made sure he was okay before looking up at the new man, he'd said the words, so he was in control.

"The man on the bridge," I stared at him before finishing his sentence. "We knew him..Right?"

"You met him on a mission earlier this week." He covered quickly. I shook my head, my head filling with his blue eyes. "No."

"But..We knew him." James tried to smile, and I wanted to bang my head against the wall. I didn't want to see the eyes I'd never remember. I didn't want to remember him and never see him again.

But I wouldn't have to. They'd take it away for me. "But sir, they've been out of cryo for too long." I shivered, James sighing as a tear rolled down my cheek.

James wasn't just my partner.

He was my brother.

"Wipe them. And start again."
