I walked out from the shadows that loomed over the archway and smiled awkwardly at Sans. "Hey again..." I said quietly. He pulled out a match and cigarette out from his left pocket, lighting it and making me wonder how skeletons smoked. Papyrus laughed awkwardly and I scratched the back of my head, though I could tell I was turning a little red from the tension and quietness. "So darlin', how long are you gonna be here?" I jolted at the question in surprise. At first I was gonna sass him for calling me 'darlin' again, but then I looked back at the injury in his skull and held back. "I honestly don't know, probably just until I can pay for somewhere else to live and stuff..." He nodded and put his hand in his pocket slowly, though he signed something to Papyrus before and he nodded uneasily. "CARSON, YOUR ROOM IN UPSTAIRS, LAST ROOM DOWN THE HALL. I JUST HAVE TO TALK TO SANS, MAKE YOUR SELF AT HOME!" I smiled, nodded and I climbed up the stairs. As I reached the top I noticed a door in front of me. I slowly opened the door to see a small table to the left, to the right a bookshelf, and all the way in the other corner of the room was a bed shaped like a race car. I assumed it was Papyrus's room since it felt almost as lively as he seemed and there was a pair of crimson gloves sitting on the nightstand beside the bed. I closed the door and looked to the room next to his, but when I tried to open the door it turned blue and I looked downstairs. Papyrus had disappeared behind the archway to the dining room and Sans was looking at me. "Last room." He said in a deeper voice than usual before disappearing into the room with Papyrus. I assumed that was his room and I kept walking. I had finally reached the end of the hall where there was a brown door, it was my room. "Welp," I told myself. "Here goes." I said as I opened the door.

I sat down next to Papyrus and took the cigarette out of my mouth, snapping it in my hand and throwing it into the garbage can to my left. Papyrus stared fiddling with his fingers in front of him and sweating a little. "So," I started. "How'd she get permission to stay here?" He started stuttering and pulled on his shirt collar. "UH...W-WELL I...I U-UM-" I set my hand on his and he started blushing a light orange. "Bro, I'm not mad. I just want to help, but I can't if you won't tell me what happened." He smiled a little and blushed a little brighter. "T-THAT'S VERY SWEET OF YOU. BUT I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, AM IN NO NEED OF SERVICE. PLUS, IF ANYTHING," He picked me up and swung me around. "IT IS I WHO'S SUPPOSED TO PROTECT YOU!" I smiled and hugged him tight, slightly tugging on his shirt. "Yeah, your right...I...I love you bro..." He smiled and sat down, me still in his arms as he held me close. "I LOVE YOU TOO...DON'T SCARE ME AND RUN OFF LIKE THAT AGAIN, OKAY?" I smiled and a tear trickled down my bony cheek. "Sure bro...sure..."
