Something happened out there that he's not telling me... I thought as I made my way to the kitchen. Sans was leaning against the counter, smoking like crazy with a few bottles of ketchup beside him. He turned and saw me, but said nothing as he pushed past me. "I'm going upstairs." He snapped his fingers and the stuff on the counter disappeared, probably reappearing in his room. I ran after him and put my hand on his shoulder. "Sans please...talk to him..." He said nothing, pushing off my arm as he lit another cigar. "I just, I can't okay?" I tightened my grip on his shoulder. "I-I can't...I can't see him-" I hugged him and a few tears fell from his eye-sockets. Finally I let go and he clenched his fists. "Not again..." He turned and walked upstairs, slamming the door behind him. Sans... I tugged on my sleeves and walked over to the door, taking a deep breath as I opened it. There was an office down there that Papyrus ran into after what happened, seems he and his bro have some things in common. Well, time for some tears and brotherly bonding. I finally reached the bottom of the stairs and froze at the door, my hand refusing to move as I heard crashing and tears from the other side. I shook it off and knocked on the door. "Papyrus?" I heard the sound stop yet the tears continued. ""G-GO AWAY..." The sound of his voice sent a string of guilt and coldness through me. But I knocked again. "Papyrus..." Nothing happened. I knocked again. His crying still continued. That was it. I started knocking on the door so hard that it clicked open. It was unlocked. Now I felt stupid. I walked over to him and slammed my hands on the table in front of me that he was sitting at. "Dammit Papyrus what happened!?" He said nothing. "Papyrus!" I threw my arm across the table, sending everything off the edge and onto the ground. "What happened!? You've never gotten this upset for as long as I've known you! So tell me what happened to you!" He gritted his teeth. "Was it that stupid robot you're always talking to!? I swear if it is his fault I'll-" He stood up and I froze, his whole face was lit orange and there were tears dripping down his boney cheeks. "It was his fault, wasn't it!?" He clenched his teeth even harder and grabbed my arm. "SO WHAT IF IT IS!? WHY DOES IT EVEN MATTER!?" The screaming echoed through-out the entire room and everything grew silent. Papyrus sat back down and I calmed down a little. "...YOU ONLY CARE BECAUSE IT HURTS SANS. I KNOW THAT'S IT..." I couldn't help but turn red at the comment. Now let me get this straight with you all. I'm not the hugging type. Touching people with that much sincerity on my face once a day was enough for me, but today was a special occasion. I hugged him tight and could feel him tense as I did. "Papyrus. That's not why i'm worried. I couldn't care less about how Sans's feeling about the situation right now! What matters to me is that you're okay after whatever experience happened earlier." I felt him calm down as he started weeping quietly. "-But I can't help unless you tell me exactly what happened." He said nothing. "Please Papyrus." He let go and nodded, wiping the tears from his eye-sockets. "O-OKAY, I'LL TELL YOU..." I nodded. " YES, IT DID HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH METTATON, I GOT A TEXT FROM HIM SAYING HE WANTED TO MEET ME NEAR HIS COMPANY BUILDING FOR 'M.T.T. Inc.' TO SAY SOMETHING IMPORTANT. BUT ON MY WAY I WAS AMBUSHED BY SOMEONE." I nodded. "Did you know them?" He shook his head. "NO, WHICH ONLY CONFUSED ME MORE. AFTER I DEFEATED HIM WITH MY WITS AND GREATNESS-" "As always." I added. "-HE SAID HE WAS SENT BY SOMEONE I KNEW AND THAT IF I EVER WENT NEAR THE BUILDING AGAIN T-THAT...THAT..." I grabbed his hand and he took a deep breath. "You don't have to say if you-" He nodded. "I'M FINE...HE SAID HE WOULD COME AFTER M-ME AND S-SANS AND-" He started to cry again and I hugged him again (is this going to be a full-time thing?) as my anger just got worse. He gripped my white shirt and didn't look up. "Y-YOU'RE NOT MAD AT THEM, A-ARE YOU?" I hid my emotions and mustered a sincere looking smile. "Of course not." Technically, I didn't lie. I wasn't mad, I was furious to the point of my head exploding and punching anything that moves. He nodded and I pointed to the door. "You have someone you need to talk to." He nodded and walked out the door.
