Lost

Someone shoved me from behind. I fell on my face to the ground. My nose starts leaking dark, red, sticky blood. I stand up and pull my hoodie over my head. I put my hands in my jean pockets and started walking home.

It wasn't a unusual thing. This always happened when I tried getting on the bus. I lived a good 10 minutes away by car. If I was walking, I could get home in 25 minutes. If I'm lucky. If the weather wasn't bad.

Heavy droplets fell from the sky. I looked up at the sky. My luck just keeps getting better and better. I trudged along the side of the road. Blood rolled down my face and into my soaked clothes. I didn't bother wimping it away. 30 minutes later I finally reached my home, soaked to the bone. I entered the hallway. I stopped dead when I heard my step-sisters voice and her friends.

"Your brothers cute really. If he just pulls down that hoodie and wouldn't be so shy. Oh and if he would talk." The unknown voice said.

"One, he's my step brother. I would get rid of him the first second I could. He's a waste of space. Second, please he's a dumb and stupid boy that's a few months older than me." Nicky, my step sister said. I rolled my eyes. I walked down the hallway towards my room. I bumped into Alice. My wonderful sister, my full blood sister. She is in her 3rd year of collage, but goes to a local collage so she can stay home. I couldn't be happier.

"Kyle! You're soaked to the bone!" Alice said with her hands on her hips. I couldn't agree more. Alice pulled me into my room. It was small, about the size of a small walk in closet. Alice started mumbling. "Having four step sisters. What was mom thinking moving in this little house with six kids." I didn't know what mom was thinking. Or what she still is thinking. I sat on my bed, letting Alice get what ever clothes she wanted for me.

She wrapped a warm white towel around me and hugged me quickly. She took a few tissues and wiped the blood that was dripping down all the way into my shirt now.

"Another fight?" Alice asked.
I waved my hand into a sign to say kinda.

"Someone just hit you?" Alice asked. I shook my head yes. Then I thought maybe I shouldn't have. Alice got furious.

"Has mom even talked to the teachers?" I shook my head no. Alice's eyes grew.

"Did she talk to someone?" I shook my head yes.

"Who?" Alice asked. I pointed towards the door. Alice looked confused for a moment.

"Wait... Nicky? She talked to Nicky?" Alice asked in disbelief. I shook my head yes.

"Is she crazy! Nicky is the one who started this bullying." Alice said. I didn't have a reply.

"What is she supposed to be doing?" Alice asked. I huffed. I hated questions that weren't yes or no. I used to fingers, making them look as they were walking. Then I pointed to myself. Then I pointed all around me.

"Walking you, to your room?" Alice asked. I shook my head no. I did the first two the same and then pointed to the hallway and around my room. "Oh, walking you home." Alice said. I did more motions. "Or making sure you get on the bus." Alice finished. I shook my head.

"Well she clearly hasn't been doing that." Alice said. I shivered.

"Take a shower and get changed. I'll make you some lunch." Alice said. She left the room, locking the door after her.

I loved Alice. I had three stepsisters. That's four girls in the house. Alice is the only one that actually looked out for me. Alice is in her 3rd year of collage, but she's 19. What can I say, I've got a smart sister.

I didn't bother taking a shower, that wouldn't mean I would have to leave the room, and that's just not happening. I dried myself off and pulled the clothes that Alice has left on my bed. I changed the sheets to the ones I kept in my closet. I scrubbed what ever blood was on the sheets with soap and water. I hoped on my bed, and I just sat there. This day just couldn't get worse.

"KYLE!"

Nevermind.
