The party was rather dull. It was held at Viscount Druitt's manor as all his parties are, it was decorated with gold and light oranges and yellows, as a reminded of the end of fall drawing closer, I stood along the wall observing the guests as they chatted and danced, Sebastian stood beside me. My current target was Lord Druitt himself, I was here to babysit him for the queen after all, he was being a hopeless flirt with some ladies across the room from me, the lady was obviously flushed from whatever pick up line he used on her. I scuffed causing my butler to turn his gaze to me "Something wrong young master?" He questioned "Not really, I never understood flirting, what is the point?" I asked taking a sip of my drink "It is a way of complementing each other and letting the other know you are interested in a possible relationship with them." He stated "Seems useless to me." I shrugged "Maybe that is because no one has ever flirted with you Master. You are still looked upon as a child, though great with business, no one flirts with a child, and you are seen as a man, ladies are the ones that are flirted with, not the other way unless you are partners and are comfortable with each other." He smirked "You flirt with me. Bluntly mind you. Remember when-"

~Flash back 6 months after contract~

"My Lady please get in the bath." Sebastian sighed I was standing naked in the bathroom corner to the wall, Sebastian blocking my only exit "No! I can bathe myself get out!" I shouted, I didn't bother covering up, I had nothing he hadn't seen on me or anyone else "Honestly I don't mind cornering you like this. Though I would prefer a bed." He looked down at me with an emotionless expression causing my face to flush instantly my mouth opened but no words.

"Or that other time..." I sighed "You thought it would be-"

~1 year during contract~

"Gaaah... Seb-Sebastian stop..." a moan sounded throughout the room "Just a few more moments M'Lady." Sebastian spoke smoothly "It's so good, I don't think I can... handle anymore." I moaned out once more "Honestly if someone where to hear you or take this out of context they would think we were doing scandalous things." He chuckled as he put more pressure on my shoulders "Oh god right there!" I sighed in relief "He has nothing to do with it miss." He rub the spot some more "You need to take breaks during paperwork to prevent such tight shoulders." He stated "Even if I do enjoy the sounds you make." He chuckled.

"Why do you see the need to bluntly flirt with me anyway?" I looked up at him "I fear you may forget you are still a lady, and should be handle as such, I though giving you the wonders of flirtation was best suited to doing the job." He simple stated "What makes you think I should be handle like a lady!" I greeted my teeth stomping foot down "Well, you are a business man upfront, but in secret are still a lady, I just thought treated you as such could train you on how to handle a man when being flirted with, or simply try to enjoy the flirtation. Would you like for my to stop?" He looked at me "Yo-" I got interrupted "(YYYYYYYY/NNNNNNNN)!!!???" My fiancés  voice came from my right right before I was tackled to the wall in a tight hug "Lady Elizabeth please you are in public!" Paula spoke running up to us "Oh I am so sorry! I was just so existed to see you!" She cheered, causing people to chuckle or look at us with disgust over her actions.

I pulled her off me calmly "Hello Elizabeth, how are you this fine evening." I calmly asked while ignoring the glares "I am simple wonderful but please call me Lizzy." She smiled "I am just waiting for the next dance to start, I love the music Viscount Druitt  picked for the evening." She stood beside me watching the others. "Yes, it is nice." I grumbled "You look lovely by the way." I looked at her through my peripheral vision "Oh thank you!" She cheered "You look handsome as well."

A few moments at the next song played, couples started dancing I held in my groan as I handed Sebastian my drink and turned to Elizabeth "Care to dance with me M'lady?" I held my hand out to her as she gave me a look of both pure happiness and shock "Of course Lord Phantomhive!" She took my hand gently as I lead her to the center. I had practiced one more time before we left my manor, are steps were in sync with the rest of the couple's, I could see Druitt dancing with a young lady when we turned ever so often "Oh (Y/N) I am so happy we get to dance, I was worried you wouldn't ask me." She looked at me with a slight pout "Why wouldn't I ask my fiance to dance?" I asked her as I turned her "Because I know you don't like dancing that much, I was just over thinking things I guess." She stated taking hold of my hand again as we continued our steps "You shouldn't over think things, those thoughts can lead you astray." The music ended and I bowed as she did the same, I took he hand once more and lead her a table near the wall I had stood at before.

At the end of the night I watched as Elizabeth's carriage took off back to her manor a long with the other guests "Lord Phantomhive, may I speak to you for a moment." Lord Druitt's voice spoke from the door way, overlooked up to see him standing proudly on the stairs leading inside "Of course Lord Druitt how may I help you?" I asked "I was just wondering if you enjoyed the ball." He looked at me "Of course, your parties are always the most enjoyable, you have a title for best balls after all." I gave him a smirk "Oh goody, I hope you put that in your report to Her Majesty then." With that he turned on his heel and swayed back into his manor and the door closed.

"How did he know?" I growled hitting my first on the carriage seat, Sebastian sat across from me "He may know he is under suspicion, or maybe a source from her majesty told him." He thought allowed "If it were an inside source who would it be? One of the queens personal butlers?" I looked at him "Perhaps." He looked out the window. "This has grown into a pain." I sighed sitting back in my sit.

Once the carriage pulled up into the manor and stopped I didn't wait for Sebastian to open the door to help me out I busted the door open and stormed out, Druitt's words echoed through my head, they enraged me I burst open the manor doors as well while Sebastian paired the driver when I walked in I was met with a strange sight, Funny and Bardroy  we're sitting on the stairs as May-rin held a child in her arms, the child was crying "What is going on here!?" I shouted as footsteps could be heard from behind me "Oh young master!" Funny stood up "We found a child running in the garden!" Bard spoke "Explain." I groaned as I walked in further Sebastian closed the doors "Well I was locking the back doors and Funny was checking the gate to make sure it was unlocked so you could get in..." May-rin started talking over the screams of the child "Yeah and on my way back from the gate I heard screaming I ran to the garden to find the child running from two man in suits, I'm sorry young master but I accidentally killed the men! I through a statue at them to block them from the child and it landed on them both." Funny bowed down "So far the only words we got out of the child was som'thin about a fire." Bard spoke "Hand me the kid" I walked up the May-rin as she handed it to me the child was odd, it had dark blue hair and bright blue eyes, he paused the crying and looked at me sniffling lightly "Name?" I asked it only for it to tilt it's head at me "Do you have a name... little... one?"  I cringed at the last two words it nodded slowly "May I know what it is?" I raised a brow "Ciel Phantomhive." It spoke lowly, everyone excluding Sebastian gasped "Where are your parents Ciel?" I asked putting him down "Fire burned our home, bad man killed them and tried to kidnap me." He sniffles tearing up again "The poor thing." May-rin mumbled Finny go lock the gate, Bardroy, May-rin go clean up what ever is left of the two men and broken statue, after you are done you may retire, Sebastian we are retiring for the night also, let's go Ciel, you can sleep with me tonight." I took the child's hand and lead him upstairs.

As we made our way to my room Ciel kept looking back at Sebastian only to meet is gaze and look away I wanted my room, placed Ciel on the bed and removed my coat "Sebastain tomorrow after you have woken me up you are to go out to London and see if there have been any fires of any households." I stated bluntly sitting next to Ciel "Yes M'Lord." He spoke as he got clean clothes "What are we to do with the child?" He asked "Take care of it, see why it thinks it's a Phantomhive." I sighed "But I am a Phantomhive! My daddy was Vincent Phantomhive and my mom was Rachel!" He looked at me "Why don't you believe me?" "Because I had no siblings... as far as I know." I looked back at him with narrow eyes.

I laid in bed looking at the sleeping child, even though all that he still can sleep soundly, he was so peaceful while snuggled into the blankets, so many thoughts ran through my head Was he a sibling? Was he truly a Phantomhive? Why we're those man chasing him? One by one the thoughts clouded my mind till finally I fell into a deep sleep with my last thought being "I need to protect him... regardless of blood or not."
