“I’m still angry” Tom stated.
As we exited the arena the train was just arriving so we had to run and board quickly. I paid for my ticket and Tom paid for his.
“I know and I’m sorry” I wasn’t actually sorry, I had an amazing night and I am so thankful that Tom bought me those tickets but I’m not sorry I missed half the concert.
“Those tickets cost a lot of money, I didn’t even want to go and you left me alone for two full hours to spend time with four idiots” he huffed loudly.
“You didn’t just say that, for one those idiots were better company than you’ll ever be and two, I didn’t ask for you to come with me did I?” A few people turned their heads as my voice went louder.
I have to say, my words were harsh but I have to stand up for myself. He can’t control me all the time.
“I’m sick of this” he threw his hands in the air and got up.
“Where are you going?” I wasn’t ready to give up my friendship with Tom. Maybe space is what we need?
“Away from you, I’ll end up saying something I’ll regret” he grabbed his stuff and moved further down the train.
I sat alone and pulled out my phone and headphones and placed them into the jack. I shuffled through my playlist and played my newly favourite songs ‘can we dance’.
The train ride was short, my destination was called up so I stood and gathered my belongings. I looked around for any sign of Tom but he was nowhere to be seen. I finished putting my coat on and stepped waiting for the train to be stationed.
The platform was busy so I hurriedly made my way to the exit before I got bombarded by people. Taxi’s lined the street and I climbed into the closest one.
“Where we going miss” The driver asked. He looked quiet young. His air was dark along with his eyes. They were a deep shade of brown. I gave him my address and he started the car and drove off.
“£4.50 please”
“Keep the change” I said when I handed the five pound note over and exiting the car.
I unlocked my door and walked inside. The lights were all off, meaning I was alone, Again. I switched a few of the main lights on and walked upstairs.
I changed out of my clothes and washed my face. I placed a hoodie on and some pyjama shorts.
My phone buzzed on the side.
‘It’s Connor x’
‘Hello:)x’
We ended up into a conversation about how I still had his shirt and how he didn’t like that I had to leave early.
‘About our date, I’ve got it planned out. Are you free tomorrow x’ Connor asked. I smiled at my phone before sending my reply.
‘Yes I am, what’s your plan?x’
‘That would be telling, I’ll have someone to pick you up at 7, go to sleep baby. We have a busy day tomorrow x’ I told him my address before shutting off my phone and going to my sleep.
