"Look what you have done,"
"What I have done? You're the one who kissed her you piece of shit,"
"What the fuck did you call me?"
"Get your hands off me,"
"If you hurt her, I swear, I will find you and fucking kill you."
My eyes flutter open and it took a few moments for them to adjust.
"Get over yourself, she's not yours ok, get that round your thick skull of yours. She wants me,"
Harry's hand grabs on to Luke's collar and he clenched his other hand towards Luke.
"You better be fucking careful, I swear. She's always loved me—" Harry shouts.
He actually looked quite intimidating and scary.
"Harry? Luke?" I mumble.
Both their heads swerve to look at me.
Harry gave me a small smile. I stare at him for a moment as his body slowly relaxes and lets go off of Luke.
"Ariana," Luke calls, walking over to my bed. "Babe, are you ok?"
I nod. I am fine. What is going on?
I look down to see I was in a hospital gown with bruises and cuts all around my body.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I mumble, rubbing my head.
I look over to Harry who stood at the end of the bed silently.
Was he going to come over or even say anything?
I just wanted to get out, I was sure I was fine. It just hurt a little.
"What happened?" I ask.
Luke looks at me and bites his lip.
"You must have been running after me and you crossed the road without looking and then... you know," he explains.
I nod. Some flashbacks run through my mind from last night.
He glances at Harry, giving him a dirty look.
"It's not my fucking fault," Harry mumbles.
"If you weren't trying to fucking chase her and just have left her alone, she would have noticed the car. You distracted her when she clearly didn't want you there. Oh and don't forget the fact that you fucking kissed MY girl," Luke spits.
Harry steps closer in anger.
"You better shut your—"
"Guys stop, please," I shout.
They both look at me and mumble a sorry.
"When can I get out?" I sigh.
"Whenever the doctor says you can," Luke replies.
I sigh. I didn't want to be rude to Luke, especially as he had stayed at the hospital with me despite what Harry and I had done. Well what Harry did. I just want to get out.
I can't believe what had happened. Flashbacks replayed in my mind from last night. What was I thinking?
"Miss Lynch?" A voice calls.
I look up and thankfully it was the doctor. I don't know what was going to happen, this has never happened to me before and I am just so lucky it wasn't anything serious.
"Yes," I say.
He clutches some paper and checks all the monitors around me.
"Well everything appears to be fine and you should be able to leave soon," He spoke.
I smile. I need to get out of here, so many thoughts whirled in my mind.
"However, the cuts and bruises will need time to heal and for your health, you need a lot of rest. Remember next time, don't run across a busy road," He informs.
I look down in shame before nodding.
The doctor discusses a few details before walking out the door, leaving the nurse to help me.
I had forgotten Luke and Harry were still in the room and I still hadn't told Harry I was moving out.
*
As soon as the cold air brushes against my skin, I smile. I was happy to be out, it was refreshing. I still can't get my head round it though, I can't believe how careless I had been.
Silently, I stare at my surroundings, scanning the hospital car park. Harry pulls me aside whilst I watch Luke's face drop. I know I shouldn't and should just go back to Luke but I wanted to hear what Harry had to say. I mime to Luke that it won't be long.
He swallows.
"Are you ok?" He asks, his green eyes fixed into mine.
"Yes," I reply, once again chewing at my bottom lip and looking at the ground.
"You should have looked where you were going," He mumbles.
I sigh.
"Are you serious?" I say. "I literally have no time for you, leave me alone,"
I couldn't be bothered to shout, I had just got out of the hospital and that's what he had to say? I am not wasting the last amount of strength on him just so I can shout.
I swerve round, about to leave, before feeling Harry's large hand slide round my arm and pull me back.
He tensed and looks away as we stood in silence.
I glare at him, watching the wind gently blow his chocolate curls. Harry was starting to irritate me, but why should I be talking to him after what he had done?He turns back to me.
"I didn't mean it like that," He swallows, tensing his jaw.
I watch him, glaring at my lips. He took his bottom lip between his teeth and he clenches his fists before suddenly turning away.
"I better go,"
I just return a nod.
"But I'll see you when..." Harry grits his teeth. "When Luke drops you off,"
I still haven't told him about moving out and I just felt so bad. I was afraid on what Harry's response was going to be like.
I watch him leave, he didn't even turn back to look at me, he just walked and walked until he was no longer in sight.
I hesitate for a moment before walking back to Luke. I sure wouldn't be staying up late today, I need some rest like the doctor had told me. I didn't want to make myself weak any more.
