Chapter 3, The Boy With The Thorn In His Side
Following Louis instructions, i ran to my next class and burst through the door. Everyone was looking at me, including the teacher, who looked like a very stern woman.
"Sorry im late" i said, panting from the run. "I got lost" i lied.
"Well perhaps you should invest in a map." She said snapped. "I hope you won't need one to find a seat?"
"No.." i said quietly.
How embarrasing. The whole class was looking at me. The only spare seat was one at the back on the left side of the classroom next to a boy with dark brown curly hair. I went and sat down next to him.He looked up and gave a weak smile, but his smile didn't reach his his brilliantly green eyes. I went into my bag to get a pen and retrieve the correct book. The boy next me routed through his bag, obviously looking for something. When he couldn't find what he was looking for he dropped his bag hard onto the floor, and hard onto my foot.
"OUCH" i cried.
His bag was heavy. Really heavy.
"Watch what you're doing! That really hurt!" I said louder than i ment too.
"Excuse me, but if you want to talk to eachother do it in your own time and not during my lesson!" Shouted the teacher. "If i find you talking again you can leave and come back and redo this lesson during lunch time"
"Sorry mrs.." i said gently and melted into my seat.
"Have you got a pen ?" said the boy with curly hair
i felt my temper rising "What?" i said, obviously not impressed by his manners. "Yes i do thanks." i retorted angrily
"Jeeze, i ment have you got a spare one, i cant find one in my bag" he replied
"Yeah i noticed that when your bag landed on my foot." i replied.
"Right... so have you then?" he said rather smugly.
The teacher was looking at us now, and because i would quite like to have a lunch, and to spare an argument i pregrudingly got another pen out of my bag and handed it to him. He took it with out so much as a thank you. I didnt speak to him for the rest of the lesson, i thought i saw him looking at me from the courner of my eye once or twice, but i must have just imagined it. At the end of the lesson he handed me the pen, and stalked off shouting 'Cheers'. After i'd packed away the teacher came over to me and gave me a list of the stuff i needed to study in my own time to catch up. I took the list and left the class room.
All i could think about was this boy, this rude arrogant boy who hadn't apologised and had rudley asked me for a pen. At least he was only in that one class. I walked towards to english area, following a student i heard say something about handing in an essay to one of the english teachers.
As i got nearer to the vending machine i could see louis smiling at me. "Hey katie! Over here!"
He walked over to me and smiled back "I see you found us okay then, you're getting better at the whole direction thing" he joked
"yeah i suppose i am." i said back
"Well ill introduce you to the clan then." he said, grabbing my arm and pulling me over to his friends. "This is Zayn, Liam, Hannah, Niall and ofcourse the lovely Charlotte, who you met before. He said pointing to each of them. Zayn has olive skin, black hair which was styled in a quiff. He was wearing a zipped up checked hoodie, dark denim jeans and black vans. He was quite attractive. "Vots Happening" he said, smiling. Hannah had curly blonde hair, which looked quite long but was tied back into a hairband. She had slightly tanned, natural looking skin and was very pretty. She also had her nose pierced like me and was wearing a grey and black striped jumper, black jeans and black dolly shoes. "Hey" she said quite confidently. Liam and Niall were also quite attractive. Liam had short brown hair and wore a grey jumper with cream chenos. He smiled at me when he was pointed to by Louis. Niall had the most adorable irish accent. Niall's hair was blonde, short and spiked up slightly. He was wearing a cream blue hoodie, dark denim jeans and white nike airs. He also smiled at me.
