"Master Park, your father would like a word with you now" A servant said as he entered the room. Of course with a knock first, unless he wanted to be exiled from Korea.
Bowing to the young master that just appeared out of the bathroom not too long ago. The man left the room closing it behind him. He's back already.
Dressing himself into a respectable outfit which was a black suit with a pair of his favorite stylist shoes. Chanyeol walked to his father's office or so called penhouse of this enormous hotel.
Opening the door for himself rather than the servants that are usually standing by the door. He entered with a quiet knock on one of the wooden double doors.
He moved into the room quietly so he wasn't a disturbance to his father. The Big Bad Wolf as most people called him because of the way he ripped out the throats of his competitors without hesitation.
Entering his father's territory Chanyeol stiffen up. It was unlike him to feel nervous about seeing his father. Whenever he did he had to speak with formalities like he was another man with no relative connection.
To put it buntly he and his father's relationship wasn't the greatest. They never got along or had an father-son connections. When it came to conversations they would only talk of business. How to get richer or how to gain power over others to add more to his monopoly.
Although his father loved these talks, Chanyeol never took any enjoyment from them. He did look the part of someone that enjoyed the cat and mouse game but that was only a facade.
A facade he never broke until she came.
The office was bathed in complete darkness until a small light was turned on. Lightening the room all he saw was the back of the black leather of his chair. He almost thought his father wasn't there until he spoke up.
"My son" His voice was raspy. "How did the announcement go?" He asked without turning to the other. "Smoothly" He responded without a single emotion.
"Good. Good." He spoke again but with more ease.
"I'm sorry you had to announce her death" His father suddenly said.
"She was a beautiful women" Mr. Park sighed with a notable force.
Unable to respond his father countined on, "I want you to do something for me, my son"
Mr. Park rose from his chair making eye contact with his son yet they seemed different. He threw down a photo onto the desk. Sliding it towards Chanyeol.
"I want you to keep an eye on someone for me"
"Who?"
"This girl, Jung Eunji" He pointed to the picture of a girl smiling happily in what seemed to be a family photo. Eunji? That's her name?
"Why?" Chanyeol calmly questioned without giving a hint of acknowledgement of the girl presented in front of him.
Snapping his head up to set his eyes onto Chanyeol, fury within. The man, "What did you say!? Don't you dare question me just do as I say!"
Taken aback Chanyeol couldn't control the utter surprise appearing across his face. It was the first time his father yelled at him like that. Normally his father could control his emotions to the point that no one knew what he was thinking.
What changed?Clearing his throat, Mr. Park's face aburptly softens, "Look, son. This girl she might have information on what happened to the victim. If she is a potiental suspect then we have to keep an eye on her" He patted his shoulder.
"Don't you think that's what Yoona would've wanted?" Mr. Park gave a sad smile. Yet his smile contradicted with what his eyes meant. There was no sincerity. Not a trace.
