"Why haven't you called us? You had us worried." My mom spoke loudly into the phone.
"I'm sorry. There has been a lot going on." I rub my forehead with my hand. Moving my wrist in front of me. I glance at the time, 12:45.
Why are my parents even calling me this late? They should be asleep.
"Why are you calling me this late?" I tried to ask nicely despite the tiredness.
"We saw the news about the girl that died in that hotel. We were worried."
"We thought..." My mom's voice became quiet. "something happened to you."
"I'm sorry I worried you. I'm fine." My mom sighed.
"We want you to come home to Busan." She quickly said.
"What?"
"There are plenty of jobs here, Eunji. You don't need to live in Seoul. Your family is here. Come back home."
"I can't, Mom. I can't drop everything." There is still so much I need to know.
"Eunji-" I stop my mom's words with my own.
"I came to Seoul to find myself. To be on my own. Busan isn't the place for me to do that." That is the main reason why I left. For myself and no one else.
"Sweetheart-" She tries to start once again with a softer tone.
"I have to go. I miss you guys. Bye." I hang up the phone.
My parents weren't supportive when I first told them that I wanted to move to the city. But they didn't hold me back. They let me go without a word against my decision which I appreciated them for doing. That meant they understood why I left.
The elevator ringed once the floor was reached. With drawn in shoulders and half closed eyes. I dragged my exhausted body to my hotel door.
I take a moment to search for the black key card to slip in to open the door. My fingertips gaze along the edges of the card. I take it out of its secured place in my bag. My eyes fall on the door once again specifically the knob.
My stomach immediately turns at the condition of the door. Detached from it's locked position that I had left it earlier this morning. I could've sworn I closed it before I went to work.
I pull my lips into a thin line. My eyebrows furrow at the sight, trying to grasp the faint memory of closing it. Maybe the maid mistakenly left it open.
That must happen this hotel holds many rooms about 910 of them. This is bound to be a mistake made.
"Yeah..." I whisper to myself.
I relax my tired shoulders and mined of meaningless worries, temporarily.
My palm on the door, I open it wider. The room was untouched. The bed sheets, drawers, papers, and bathroom intacted, where they were left.
Releasing a heavy sigh from my being, an uncanny smell assaulted my nose. It was a manly cologne intermixed with a faint rotting smell.
Cautiously pressing my footsteps forward into the room. My eye catches a slight difference. The bedside drawer slightly cracked open.
Gliding it open, it was empty. The flashdrive missing from atop of the hotel room service menu. Snapping my head up upon realization. My eyes spot a silhouette briefly emerge in the circular reflection of the mirror above the nightstand.
An icy wind brushes my cheek, sending a shiver up my spine.
I slowly look over my shoulder the figure was no longer there. All that remained was the creaking sound of the open hotel door.

Hey, guys. I'm back. I wanted to post this chapter before I go to sleep, it has been some time since I've last updated. Who do you think was the one in the room with Eunji? Chanyeol? Maybe Yoona's killer? Or a random person?
Side note: I have recently started working, my first day was today. I'm honestly exhausted but on the upside EXO RELEASED THEIR TEASER.
The boys (men) are back and I'm NOT ready! Are you?
