Eunji's POV

Death. A way of life that nobody wishes to confront. However, it's the rite of passage that everyone will one day face.

Most of us take comfort with the simple delusion that when we reach that end that it is in peace rather than suffering.

Nevertheless, that simple notion didn't apply to Yoona's life.

She was the causality of the reality that not everyone has that privilege.

That cruelty isn't gone just better at lurking in the shadows under a façade of innocence.

"What's got you in deep thought?" Suho poked my forehead with his index finger holding a graceful smile.

Staring at him I dwelled on the thought of revealing to him what was on my mind.

He scanned my face, his eyebrows knitting together as every minute passed with no response from my end.

What if I do?

What would I get out of it?

His face seemed so unsuspecting, isolated from the damage.

The ends of my lips automatically pushed upwards like it was the most natural thing to do...to fake genuine happiness.

"My family...I miss them"

The me before always lightheartedly smile without hesitation. That's not who I am anymore.

When I came to Seoul, my intention was to find myself. Instead I was losing myself.

"Have you tried calling them?"

"Actually I haven't," I guess all the events that have happened made me forget.

"Seriously? I wouldn't be able to do that. I couldn't bare not calling my mom," Suho rubbed the back of his neck. A light taint of pink reached his face.

I giggled, "I never thought you were a mama's boy"

"Yeah...I mean don't you love your parents"

"Sometimes," I joked.

A hum of amusement laced through his light chuckle. Observing his unique expression I couldn't hold in my laughter. Gosh when was the last time I've laughed.

That's right when I first came to Seoul.

"Eunji," Someone spoke behind me. Moving my attention to the source, my small moment of joy died out.

"Someone's here for you"
