Eunji's POV
For days, Krystal has been gone. I haven't heard or seen her. She never did give me her phone number so I couldn't contact her.
But her sudden disappearance bothered me. Why would she help me then Chanyeol yet leave without a trace?
That didn't seem normal to me. And I couldn't do anything about it.
Wondering wearily down the narrow halls of the Seoul hospital. I stared at the repeating patterns of the flooring, thinking. Until I glanced up and noticed I was outside Chanyeol's door.
He has been doing a lot better lately. I have been visiting him enough to know that his wound is almost closed and he could move around more.
I slide the door open revealing Chanyeol and the nurse, who was checking on his wound and replacing the bandages on his abdomen.
"Good Afternoon, Eunji." The nurse gave me a quick glance and smile.
"Afternoon." I said, closing the door behind me.
"I'm just finishing up" She explained while securing the brand new bandage.
Then she took her clipboard into her hands. "I will leave you two." She exited the room, quietly.
I turn my head from where she left through the door to Chanyeol, who didn't bother to spare a glance at me.
"Hey..." I awkwardly said, walking over to the chair near his bed.
He didn't say a word. Instead, he stared up at the TV screen that was showing the latest news.
Shifting in my chair from the uncomfortable dead silence coming from Chanyeol. I stared up at the television but not listening to the words being said.
It would be a lie to say I haven't noticed how he has been becoming increasingly quiet around me.
Although, I tried not to think about it because I still wanted to see how he was doing.
"I'm sorry, I kissed you" He suddenly blurted out his eyes still on the TV screen.
Why is he saying this out of nowhere?
"I regret it because I'm still in love with her" It has only been a few months since he lost her. I know that.
"It's fine" I said and he finally glance over at me. Chanyeol didn't hold a single emotion upon his face.
"I should've stopped I wasn't thinking" I knew that was the reason since the moment we kissed a few days ago. Yet, his words cut through me like glass. It hurt more to hear it from him rather than my own self.
"It's okay, Chanyeol" I said. He moved his orbs away from mine and I looked down at my hands that refused to stop from fidgeting.
"I want to be alone." He whispered. I snapped my head up and stared at his side profile. I understand everything he is saying so why is my chest burning?
I tightly gripped the chair’s arms and briskly jerk myself onto my feet. I take footsteps to the door until I reach it. I glance over my shoulder, Chanyeol was still unchanged.
If this is what he wants then I will give it to him.
I lift my head and exit the room, leaving the echo of closed door behind in my path.

No cliffhanger, sorry. Unless you hate cliffhangers then I left a beautiful gift for those of you.
If anyone is wondering why I have been away for a while. It's mostly because of school, its my last year in high school and so much is happening at once. Another reason is because I needed time making the ending plotline for this story.
So...those are the reasons. Thanks for waiting. 🙆
