Allison's P.O.V
"Allison! Wake up!" I heard as I got startled awake by shaking and rattling.
"Mom it's Saturday." I sighed.
"We're going on a road trip!" She said excitedly accidentally hitting me in the arm as she moved her arms around getting too excited.
"Ugh!" I groaned as I stepped out of bed.
Road trip? You've got to be kidding me.
I groaned once more at the thought and shut my door to get ready.
I took out a red and black plaid flannel shirt and a pair of dark boot-cut jeans.
I laid the clothes on my bed neatly and stood at my dresser to do my makeup.
I put on some powder, pinkish blush, with black eye liner and mascara. I decided to lay off the eyeshadow today.
I took off my snowman covered pajama pants and my black t-shirt I had gotten from a running event.
I put on the clothes I had chosen earlier and took a look at myself in the mirror.
I made a kind of 'no' look to myself and took off the jeans.
I put on a pair of dark jeggings and slid on some light brown Uggs.
Perfect.
I opened my door and walked downstairs to my living room.
I flopped down on my couch next to my dad and watched tv while I waited for my mom and sister to be ready.
I couldn't help but slowly close my eyes considering it was 7 o'clock in the morning and I'm used to getting up at 11 am on Saturdays.
Before long, my mom and sister came trotting down the stairs both with their purses ready to go.
Personally, I didn't like to carry a purse.
"Come on!" My mom said motioning my dad and I out the door.

The car ride was a long two hours filled with the sounds of the music playing through my headphones and the 80's music along with my parent's dreadful singing interrupting my own.
We finally arrived at our destination.
An old root beer parlor, in this little tiny historic town called White Ash.
When you walk in there is stuffed animal skins hanging everywhere staring you down.
A bunch of old antiques that you're scared to even walk by because you might break it.
And a long counter that runs along almost an entire side of the store topped with tons of different kinds of candy.
"Welcome to the Root Beer Parlor, you can sit right here if you'd like." A woman about in her fifties greeted us then motioned to a square table with four seats right next to an old baby grand piano.
I took a seat closest to the wall so that I would be out of the way of any people walking in and out of the door.
"What would you like? The menu is right over there." She asked us as she pointed to a small chalk board at the end of the counter.
We all stared at the board determining what we wanted.
"I would like a blueberry vanilla sundae." I said breaking the silence.
"And I would like a root beer float." My mom said directly after I had said my order. "Do either of you not want anything?"
"No thanks." My sister smiled.
