Allison's P.O.V

I turned off my tv and snuggled down into my bed about to fall asleep.

I lay there for a few seconds before abruptly opening my eyes.

My phone sitting on the bedside table was lit up.

I leaned over and picked it up to see Jake was calling me.

"Hello?" I said confused.

"Meet me at the park in 10 minutes." and with that he hung up.

Why would he want to meet me at the park? It's 2 a.m! Jake doesn't even live in Westonburg, but I decided to go anyways.

I pulled up to the park entrance and parked. I didn't drive in because the gates were closed. I slipped underneath the gate and started to walk forward. I didn't really know where I was walking because Jake didn't tell me a place in the park.

"Allison." Jake said.

I quickly turned around to find him behind me.

"You scared me." I said putting a hand on my chest.

"There's a bunch of stuff you need to know."

"A bunch of stuff I need to know? Like what? I'd still like to know how you got my phone number."

"Yes, well I'll start with that then. Allison, I have known you my whole life. You have never met me until that day at the shop, but I have always known you and made sure we ran into each other that day."

"What? You're insane." I said as I turned and started walking away.

"Allison, please wait and let me explain. Don't ask questions until I'm done. It may all make sense or may not but, please."

I stopped and turned back towards him.

"Get to explaining then. You don't have much time right now because I think you're a lunatic."

"Let me start off short and simple with the beginning. I'm your brother."

"Youre my wh-"

"I said don't ask questions! Your probably wondering why your parents didn't tell you who I was or how they could keep it from you when we met. There's an answer to that. They don't know about me. They don't know we're siblings because they're not your real parents."

I didn't say anything. Part of me didn't want to believe him, but why would someone make this up? He had to be telling the truth, my whole life had been a lie.

"Can I ask a quick question?"

"Sure. Just one."

"Does that mean I was adopted?"

"No, Allison, it means your real parents have been looking for you for the past twelve years. They think you're dead. The people who you thought were your parents are dangerous and you need to leave as soon as possible so I can take you to our parents."

"I can go back and pack some stuff."

"It's not like that. There's no need. We can go now."

"I need clothes, food, money, all of my keepsakes, everything! I can't just leave it."

"Yes you can. Let's go."

We drove for about ten minutes going back towards the woods. I recognized this place and it was a place I vowed to myself I would never go back to again. I closed my eyes for a second. What about Ashlie?

"Jake? What about Ashlie? What's going to happen to her?"

He sighed and took a deep breath before talking.

"Her life has been the exact same as yours. Except Ashlie's real dad has found her."

"Ashlie's dad? That's impossible. He died over 10 years ago."

"That's what everyone thought." My brother said as we pulled up to the water tower.

I could Ashlie standing next a man talking. I assumed it was her dad although I had never seen him. Not even in pictures.

I got out of Jake's truck and ran towards Ashlie. I ran right into her with a needed hug.

Unknown P.O.V

One step closer. I thought to myself as soon as I could see Jake and Allison pulling up to Aubrey's death site. Finally, we are here.
