Okay so i'm just gunna warn you right now; this is a very dramatic chapter! And btw time will be moving faster bc this story isn't going to be extremely long!
Before any camper had realized it, a month of camp had gone by. For Harry, the month was filled with laughter and many kisses, also with a couple tears of homesickness. The poor boy was missing Liam, Danielle and Ariel, along with his own family. He had received weekly letters from them all, along with sending them.
The month for Louis revolved around Harry. He only sent a couple letters to the kind old lady Miss Amberlay, but other than that, nothing really that exciting had happened to him. He could see some tension with Niall and Zayn but thought really nothing of it. The guilt still hadn't left Louis, but he had become better friends with Jeremy. He didn't have anyone to talk to besides him, because Zayn and Niall seemed a little pre-occupied so Louis decided to leave them alone. Jeremy had become a good friend for Louis; although Hana still hated him. On one particular day, Hana actually made Louis quite upset.
Louis was sitting alone in the playing field waiting for Harry to arrive. Harry was with Jeremy; who had been sick all night. Harry was bringing the poor boy to the first aid room, and staying with him in support. While Louis waited he heard someone approach from behind him. He turned around to see Hana glaring at him in her wheelchair. He smiled weakly back at her only making her point an angry finger at him.
'Alright listen up Louis. I have put up with all of your lying bullshit for a month, and i'm so tired of it. I can't keep lying to Harry like this!' Hana shouted at him. Louis bit his lip, holding back tears. He had already been feeling upset before when thinking about his family, but now the feeling of guilt was being brought up. He opened his mouth to talk but Hana cut him off. 'No, you shut up and listen! I don't understand how you could be so shallow! Harry has a disability that you're taking advantage of which is really shitty if you ask me. He cares about you, and you're just using him Louis! Jesus christ, I feel sorry for your family. Do you lie to them like this all the time to?' Hana was shouting this; Louis flinching at each word. He felt the tears gather at his eyelids, as he tried to stop them from falling. He then saw Jeremy come up from behind Hana but not a sign of Harry.
'Hana stop-' Jeremy began to say but Hana kept going.
'Have you wrote letters to your family all about how you're lying to such a sweet boy? What does your family think about you? I really hate you, you know. What about your family? Do they hate you? What do they think about this?'Hana continued to yell. Jeremy suddenly burst.
'HANA SHUT UP! YOU DON'T KNOW A THING ABOUT HIS FAMILY!' Jeremy yelled loudly trying to silence her. He stepped in front of her glaring. Her eyes widened in surprise when she heard a loud sob from behind Jeremy. Jeremy quickly tore his gaze away from Hana to hustle over to Louis. He wrapped his arms around the distraught boy in a comforting hug. Louis was quick to clutch onto Jeremy; crying into his shoulder. Jeremy rubbed Louis's back soothingly and held him as he cried. Hana cocked an eyebrow at the two, wondering why Louis was so upset.
'Are you seriously crying over that?' Hana asked, raising both eyebrows. Jeremy just shook his head at her disapprovingly.
'His family is gone Hana. They all died.' Jeremy continue to hold the upset boy. He quietly kept repeating Harry's name into Jeremy's shoulder. Jeremy nodded. 'Its okay Lou, he'll be here right away okay? Shh.' Hana's jaw opened and she put a hand over her mouth feeling guilty.
'Louis-' Hana started but was interrupted.
'What's going on here?' Harry heard the cries of Louis and could hear Jeremy quietly talking to him while Hana remained silent. As soon as Louis heard Harry's voice he let go of Jeremy and jumped into Harry's arms; sobbing into his chest. Harry wrapped his arms around the boy, kissing his head in comfort. He held on tightly as Louis cried. Harry's heart hurt as he heard the sounds of Louis's cries and as he felt Louis shaking in his arms.
'Louis-' Hana placed her hand on Louis's arm only to have him jerk it away; shying closer into Harry's grasp.
'What the hell did you do Hana?' Harry asked holding the boy protectively. Hana's eyes welled up with tears. 'Loubear what did she do?' Harry tried to ask him. Louis could only mutter family in between his sobs which made Harry instantly angry. He clenched his fists around Louis's body and glared at Hana.
'I had no i-'
'Just shut up Hana!' Harry shouted, becoming very angry with the girl he considered his best friend. 'What the hell is wrong with you?'
'Harry I didn't know-' Hana stopped talking when a tear raced down her cheek. She wiped it away before anyone could see and quickly wheeled herself away from the three boys. They each heard one single cry come from her. Jeremy bit his lip and put a hand on Harry's shoulder.
'I'm going to go talk to her.' Jeremy said and Harry nodded in approval. Jeremy placed a hand on Louis's back giving it one last comforting tap before walking in the direction that Hana left; leaving Harry and Louis alone.
Harry sat down and pulled Louis down with him; pulling Louis into his lap. Harry was sat cross-legged while Louis sat in the small dip between his legs with his head in the nape of Harry's neck. Harry had both arms around Louis as he comforted him with care.
'Shh shh baby you're okay. I know Hana meant nothing of what she said okay? She just hasn't been getting a lot of sleep lately and she hasn't been in a very good mood. Shhh.' Harry whispered to Louis. 'Okay? You're okay.' Harry kissed each of Louis's wet cheeks. Louis slowly nodded against Harry's chest.
'She hates me.' Louis was able to say once his cries had slowed down. Harry shook his head with disagreement. 'Yes she does.' Louis argued.
'No she doesn't Lou. She's just a naturally sassy person and recently she's been even more sassier than usual. Its not just to you.' Harry explained and Louis only nodded. 'Loubear don't be upset okay? I hate to know you're upset.' Harry told him. Louis nodded again and joined his lips with Harry's. Harry could feel the salty tears on Louis's lips which only made his heart hurt more. Harry gently put his hands on both sides of Louis's face and softly kissed him. When they broke apart; Harry's hand slipped to the back of Louis's neck; pulling their foreheads together.
'Thank you.' Louis whispered quietly to Harry who responded with another loving kiss.
------------------------------------
Harry went to bed that night with a guilty feeling in his stomach that he just couldn't shake. He had felt bad all day for yelling at Hana but at the same time he knew she deserved it. She said some pretty harsh things that shouldn't have been said. Still, he felt guilty, so there he was at 2:30 am laying in bed; wide awake. He began thinking about Ariel to take his mind off of Hana but only found his mind wandering back to her. He sighed in defeat, feeling terrible. Then suddenly a couple minutes later, things only took a turn for the worse. From above his bunk Harry could heard Jeremy coughing. Thinking he was just naturally coughing; Harry thought nothing of it until he heard the sound of something dripping against the floor. At first, he wasn't sure what it was, but then he could sense the metallic smell of blood. Harry was out of his bed in a minute as Jeremy continued to cough up blood onto the floor.
'Jeremy!' Harry shouted, grabbing for the boy. He quickly felt Jeremy in his grasp, helping him down from the bed as Jeremy coughed. 'Niall! Louis!' Harry shouted for help. He heard the sound of feet slowly shuffling and then the light flickered on. Niall stood at the light switch rubbing at his eyes. He slowly opened them to see what was going on. The other boys in the cabin began to wake up as well, and gasps were heard. Niall's eyes widened and he quickly ran over to Jeremy's side.
'Louis!' Niall shouted for help. Louis quickly ran to the other side of Jeremy and together they brought him to the first aid room. Harry tried to follow put Niall shook his head. 'Harry you need to stay here with the rest of the cabin and keep them calm. Everything is okay alright?' Niall reassured him as Louis walked off with Jeremy.
'But he's my best-mate Niall, he needs me!' Harry argued but Niall shook his head.
'Harry your cabin needs you. Stay here.' Without another word, Niall rushed out the door to Louis and Jeremy's aid. As soon as the door slammed shut Sam ran up to Harry and grabbed him.
'Safe. Harry safe.' Sam muttered. As much as Harry wanted to follow behind Niall, he stayed with the other boys. He brought Sam back over to his bed and pulled the covers up to his chin. 'Harry safe. Safe.' Sam kept muttering over and over as Harry tucked him in.
'Shh everything's okay Sam. Close your eyes. This will all be over in the morning. Go back to sleep Sam.' Harry rubbed the boys shoulder who had now fallen silent. Within the next couple minutes he had already conked out. Harry walked over to his own bed and sat down. He placed his face in his hands and sighed. 'Is everyone okay?' Harry whispered this to the cabin. He heard a few murmurs of "okay." Harry took this as a good sign as he lied back onto the bed. He wouldn't be getting any sleep of course, but he would still lay there, waiting for his best-friend to return. Just as he began to pull the covers over himself he remembered Hana. Jeremy is her best friend, she has to know. Harry jumped up from the bed and slipped his shoes on.
'Harry where are you going?' Tony asked as he watched the boy rush to put his shoes on. Harry didn't respond as he walked to the door. 'Harry.'
'I have to tell Hana. Hana needs to know.' Harry quickly said and opened the door.
'Harry you can't go alone.' Tony argued only to keep the boy safe. Harry felt tears come over him. 'I'm sorry Harry, i'm only thinking of your safety.' Harry pounded his fist against the door at this.
'I'll go with him.' All heads looked around for the source of this voice and all jaws dropped when they saw Nick; the guy who is supposedly mute.
'Holy shit. Did you just talk? That was you Nick wasn't it?' Harry asked; eyes wide in surprise. Nick only nodded and grabbed Harry's arm; leading the two outside.
'What cabin?' Nick asked, surprising Harry again with his voice.
'Uh six.' Harry managed in shock. Nick turned suddenly and arrived at cabin six. Nick knocked on the door a few times and then left Harry alone; returning to the cabin. Harry waited a few more minutes before the door opened revealing a sleepy eyed counsellor.
'Can i help you?' She asked yawning as she spoke. Harry nodded, smiling slightly as he heard Hana in the cabin complaining about "closing the friggen door."
'I need Hana. It's urgent.' Harry told! the counsellor who nodded and called for Hana quietly. Hana groaned. Harry heard a bunch of movement in the cabin and then the familiar sound of Hana's wheelchair wheels as she came outside.
'What do you want Styles?' Hana asked crossing her arms over her chest from the coolness of the air. 'It's like 3:00 in the damn morning, this better be good.' Hana complained; yawning.
'Hana, its Jeremy.'
WOOOOOOOOW that was a very dramatic chapter. I felt like we needed some drama in there! Hope you liked it!
Btw i hope you don't hate Hana, she is just trying her best to protect Harry. She means well.
Thanks!
